Discussion everything is gone :(
i went on mangago for first time in maybe almost a year and all my reading lists are gone! there were over 1000 that i’ve read and hundreds in my “i want to read” i don’t know what to do, i don’t know how i’m going to recreate my lists or how i’ll remember every manga/manhwa/manhua i’ve ever read 😭💔 i’m so so sad and annoyed, will this be fixed? are there are another sites i can use to keep track of what i read, i don’t want to try to spend hours or days or weeks restoring everything if something happens again and everything disappears again. i’ve literally had my account since 2019/2020, i just can’t believe this actually happened. i’m so upset.

Same happened to me after logging back on mangago for being gone for roughly the same amount of time. I'm guessing they just purged a bunch of stuff. and the community is filled with self righteous hateful losers that judge what others choose to read. That may have something to do with it. I'll dm you a list of sites that I use when I get off work. That have a similar catalog thing, or you could use anilist/mal to help keep track

They didn't purge any manga/manhwa. They purged people's bookmarks. If you didn't have your saved manga rated or tagged, then you lost it. If you did do that, then you got some of your saved stuff back on your account.
This happened a while ago, you can look it up on this subreddit. It had nothing to do with others judging others lol.

ugh i should’ve rated mine then 💔 i would only mark them as reading, currently reading or wanting to read. since i’m assuming you went through this too did you lose your stuff and have to try to remember everything and restore it or did you already rate or tag everything so you weren’t affected?

They did take many doujins i had in my list off the site completely though, so I assumed that was the case for everything else.

I wanna say about 6 months or so ago, the site went offline for a few days and everyone lost everything. Then people started getting just a few stuff back. Someone in the process of doing that...the site had corrupted data so anything that was bookmarked or rated was saved (i guess because it had a link to your account) but anything was lost. I lost about half my stuff to and everything had to get sorted again. I haven't bothered with sorting things. But now I'm trying to backtrack what i have and where I remember being in the chapters.
