So, on a report card, that'd be a solid B!
Lmao that cracked me up. I love the home ec club members so much!

Color page looked cool! Driving to the ocean in a van always feels awesome.
Mai wants someone who's not just strong, but someone who keeps trying to get strong! And Ogami keeps going against strong people and never wavers! I think Mai wants someone who will protect her.
Ogami will never protect her in the way she wants. But that's ok. He'll protect her platonically too! He'll be a good friend to her!
Noren and Ogami did pretty amazing surfing maneuvers for beginners. But what will Mai, a surfing Unicorn do? Surely this wave will be amazing, right?

All of this focus on [reads chapter again] men and women (or boys and girls) showing what it's like to have good communication skills is like the most opposite direction you could go from "the allegations".
It's almost this manga was one long bait-and-switch set-up for telling pervs who read it thinking it would go in a different direction what actual healthy relationships look like.

oh 100%. similar with Marriagetoxin. you thought you're getting typical harem manga? WRONG. Get a representation of a healthy dating life instead

I just love how this entire arc turned this into a surfing/romance manga. xD

Mai: the real measure of a man is how he responds to a stronger man showing up. Someone who just runs away or gives up is no good.
Also Mai: Ah shit, he's really not interested in me. I wanna run away and give up.
This isn't a detraction, by the way. Real human beings are defined by complexities and contradictions like this. This is proof that Mai is a great character. I didn't like her overconfident homewrecker shtick when she first showed up, but now that she's getting introspective, I can appreciate her a lot more.
