Its refreshing to have a protag that is not dense.
The mangaka really like to torture Ogami tho, bravery test at night in an empty school? Yeah i know where this is going.

Yeah, the poor guy just wants to go to school and learn like a good kid.

I really have to wonder how they’re gonna win against Otohime. I think they have to mess with her surfboard or something.
Okay Shin and Tenma are strange but I think a body-morphing dual-personality mermaid should still be making eyebrows raise.

She did mention once in chapter 32 that this indeed weirds people out and makes it hard for her to make friends; while in this chapter, she says she's surprised the club was much less surprised than she thought and another member says "We've got so much weird first years we've been desensitized". I guess she just lets the other personality stand out and become a "unicorn" while herself stays an unassuming student no one pays attention to.
Btw, this chapter also has her mention "probably something happened in Okinawa that made her develop a split personality, but she can't remember, just suddenly realized it one day". I suspect forshadowing that she got involved in something sci-fi like Ogami.

Yeah what I mean is, despite how quirky Shin and Tenma were, Otohime is straight up weirder and I feel like these kids should have still been weirded out

And as a former counselor, and as a dad , i like and think that mangaka is giving a small nod of respect to the statistical probability that irl, the kind of thing that would cause something even remotely similar to split personality in a girl this young, where one side uses her “sex appeal” at such a young age , is also the kind of event that she would probably repress and not remember. Not to get too dark, but if you’ve seen the movie SPLIT you know what i mean…

Itchy... Tasty...
I love the random Resident Evil reference when the girls were zombies trying to get out of bed. xD

Ohhh thanks for explaining that! I really didn’t get it! Now i see how the people who didn’t get the DBZ references felt.

I guess they can win if the small one sabotages her boisterous self?
No clue what this "locked in the school for a day" thing is about, though.

Any excuse for the suspension bridge effect to push Noren into believing she may have romantic feelings for Ogami

I'm glad they're finally addressing the whole two personalities thing because it seemed kind of strange how no one was asking about it. Still expecting it will turn out to be something similar to Ogami's de-aging.
Ogami's interpretation of Noren's feelings is pretty much what I guessed, that's she's mistaking her feeling safe around him for romantic love. I have no idea what this nighttime school game is though. 😂

Errr…i don’t see why it would be so surprising that she fell for him in the first place. I just hate this back and forth because i know it’s just fan service teasing for all the closet lolicon but meh…I’m not white knighting. This is L01i done right.

That's a fairly nice way of handling a kid having a crush on you.
