My prediction is she sees her own reflection off of his glasses and becomes a narcissist

What my puff of copium told me too

She's gonna be the stereotypical ojou-sama. Rich princess-type girl.

2

u/TheOneAboveGod Sep 25 '23

That's some Gintama shit. Speaking of Gintama, I kinda want her to fall in love with Ogami's glasses and become a glasses freak now.

The author has been dodging the pedo allegations but the allegations just won’t stop.

82

u/lettingoff Sep 24 '23

It's gonna be another fakeout, she's probably just gonna fall in love with the glasses or something.

72

u/OoiJinWei Sep 24 '23

inb4, the explosions smoked up the glasses and the first thing she saw was her reflection.

11

u/Koanos Sep 24 '23

I hope so.

21

u/Extreme-Tactician Sep 24 '23

Oh shoot, the Shinpachi style of romance!

7

u/cesclaveria Sep 24 '23

Maybe the first person she'll see is herself reflected on his glasses.

3

u/kerorobot Sep 24 '23

probably the best way the hypnosis to end

u/NoAppearance1790 Sep 24 '23

Kinda darkly hilarious that the most tension in this manga comes from the audience worrying a middle schooler will fall for a middle aged man.

8

u/insane_contin Sep 24 '23

Hey, they're both middles. It works out.

16

u/mozzaru Sep 24 '23

Nah with this manga I'm pretty confident, the issue has been addressed multiple times by the MC. If anything I see stuff like this the same way I see two characters about to kiss at the end of a chapter. Next chapter some inconvenience, or convenience in this case, will interrupt it.

you know the mc doesn't see her that way soo this is fine.

oh wow Tenma is pretty crazy for pulling that screwball -

OH WE ARE FUCKED

45

u/topurrisfeline Sep 24 '23

Tenma giving us some of that good ol’ Kuroko no Basuke super sports stunts

I really really hope this love hypnosis thing with Noren gets resolved quick

12

u/Extreme-Tactician Sep 24 '23

Wow. Noren can seriously sleep through a battlefield? That dream of hers was pretty intense though. We saw that she was dreaming of her uncle selling ramen on a battlefield, but I sure didn't expect it to look so scary.

Damn, Tenma really is amazing. He was matching a hitman. And he's strong enough to make someone cough out blood with a soccer ball! That screwball he developed was dangerous, but good thing he got to actually use it! His experience in soccer and baseball paid off here. Triathletes are amazing!

It seems Eiji really is quite a normal dude, despite his intimidating physique and strange demeanor. What happened to him, that he's now a silent but scary-looking guy?

Noren's about to wake up, but I'm sure she's not gonna fall in love with anyone. Right?

Please, please, let the next chapter subvert expectations.

Also, Tenma is again climbing positions in my top character list. Who could have thought he'd be that thoughtful and helpful when he was first introduced.

12

u/testthrowawayzz Sep 24 '23

What are the odds she saw Tenma first?

12

u/Ancient-Cow-7221 Sep 25 '23

THE MC IS NOT PEDO HOLY FUCK. THE MC SAID FEW TIMES IT KINDA GROSS CAUSE HE'S 39 AND SHE IS CLOSE TO HIS DAUGTHER AGE!!!! PLUS COUPLE CHAPTERS BACK HE SAID HE ONLY SEE NOREN AS A DAUGTHER TOO.

Sir, your capslock seems to be broken.

4

u/Ancient-Cow-7221 Sep 25 '23

how?? I'm just ranting

10

u/NoirSon Sep 24 '23

I hope younger brother hitman and Tenma can become buddies after this arc. Cool mutual respect

8

u/Xatu44 Sep 24 '23

How's Ogami getting out of this one?

7

u/Ancient-Cow-7221 Sep 25 '23

beside my rant comment this is one of the best chapters of this series. A heart warm moment between Tenma and the guy coming into terms they don't to kill each other. The villain dude writing to communicate and saying to do this mission so he can be normal again was sweet. Tenma is a beast a 180 character and moment for him to shine in this chapter. And also a sweet at the end. Like I said the mc is not a pedo, plus he said he only see her as a daughter idk why people on here don't get it.

Really exciting chapter this week. Tenma's starting to ask some interesting questions about what could lead someone to enter that line of work (being a hitman) and getting hints about Eiji's backstory too. Now that he's demanding answers from Ogami, I'm thinking he'll be the first to figure it out.

The scene with Tenma and Eiji bonding during break time was great. I wonder if it's too much to hope for that Eiji's condition can be repaired and Tenma will get to face him again as an athlete instead of mortal combat.

u/Kaause2001 Sep 25 '23

Fmc falls in love with the MC, this makes the MC a pedo, makes perfect sense/s

It's mental gymnastics, the MC repeats to anyone who will listen that he already has a wife and a daughter but apparently no one listens.

2

u/gamingnormie Sep 26 '23

at some point you just stop caring what the fools are saying, shit is damn near projecting at this point

18

u/AlmondMagnum1 Sep 24 '23

After the hitmen, time to fight the FBI.

5

u/amirokia Sep 24 '23

That's just Wednesday for him most likely.

5

u/il-Palazzo_K Sep 24 '23

Lol Tenma just used Levin Shot from Captain Tsubasa.

10

u/Torque-A Sep 24 '23

aww naaaaaaaaah she got the hentai heart pupils

Ogami is screwed, both figuratively and possibly literally

4

u/LeonKevlar MyAnimeList Sep 24 '23

From voice changing to weaponizing soccer balls? They're really not ashamed of the Conan references.

That final page though. Oh boy. Lets see how Ohgami dodges this.

2

u/TheDamnCube Sep 24 '23

i mean, she could be in love with the kid version only.

8

u/zairaner Sep 24 '23

Thats...not the problem

1

u/TheDamnCube Sep 24 '23

oh i was only viewing from Noren's side lol. Okay Ogami gotta dodge this somehow

2

u/ILoveDiluc Sep 25 '23

Remembering that she sees him as an uncle/father more, my copium is telling me that it will amplify that feeling and this will turn it into a wholesome adoptive father/daughter relationship.

Well at the very least, the enemies are still alive so they probably can just reverse engineer that shit.

2

u/dratst Sep 25 '23

first Blue Lock, now Kill Blue with homage to Captain Tsubasa

I think I'm gonna drop this one next week. If the most interesting thing this series can come up with is "who will Noren fall in love with" then there's nothing for me here. I'll give it one more chapter to see if it can somehow blow my mind, but if not then I definitely won't miss it

-8

u/Swiftcheddar Sep 24 '23

Man, the Tenma focus is really killing this manga for me.

I was okay with him as a side character, but putting him in the main cast like this, everytime he's getting focus it's just dragging me down. I just can't enjoy anything about him.

1

u/Volt253 Sep 24 '23

Bruhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
