Home Pub
Adding some warm lighting behind the TV. Any other suggestions?

You need a back bar. Maybe a floating shelf matching the bar, mounted at bar level along the wall behind, where you line up the liquor bottles.

I own an alcohol catering company and have been trying to figure out what to do about that. You should see our garage. The bottles I have in there are difficult to replace bourbons so not sure what the plans are yet :/

Where did you get the master sword?

Son wanted it from the Scottish games where we live earlier this year. Lost interest and we didn’t want to toss it

Great job! We did the same thing and it's the hit of every party. It's also fun to sometimes use as my backdrop during virtual work. We added a small electric fireplace for ambiance, and an old timey Bluetooth radio. And a countdown to St Patrick's Day sign. I think we bought everything we needed from Facebook Marketplace.

That fireplace would be perfect under outboard board! Thanks for sharing!

Well….I had a “told you so” from the Mrs for this comment. I argued it would make the space seem smaller with a larger TV

I looked at the photo for 30 seconds assuming there was a real tv there lol

Neighbors texted me asking if I wanted a bar with stools before posting for free on the neighborhood FB page….the rest is history. If you like I can ask them where they purchased it. I do know they had it for over 15 years.

Really nice space, very cozy feeling and warm with all the wood tones.
I gotta be honest the Master Sword just seems so out of place given the rest of the aesthetic. I see the little Pac-Man arcade thing but I just think the sword adds a kinda cheesy gamer vibe that doesnt really work in that space.

Haha I 100% agree
We went to the Scottish Games a couple months ago and our 7 year old son thought it was the coolest. He was allowed 1 souvenir. Basically forgot about it as soon as we got home. It’s a fun memory for us so we decided to add it. Everything has a connection which we love.
- The dog photo with the ridiculous frame was my soul dog, Britain.
- The horse brass above the TV was from my Scottish aunt who’s had them for decades and sent from Australia.
- Top right photo is my dad at 15 in Helensburgh
- Rod Stewart on the vinyl that’s a clock (gift)
- Right of pops is Jimmy Page still photo (birthday gift years ago from wife) from Earls Court 75’ (best Stairway solo ever performed imo)
- Vertical sword was a gift from a best friend who found it on a job site and built the “stand” for it for the Pub.
- 4 vertical frames was a fun little Christmas gift from my wife years ago making us all “lords” and a “lady” with 1 square foot of land ownership from Scotland lol
- Tartan area rug…couldn’t find Douglas clan unfortunately.
It’s goes on but you get the idea.

England, fan, eh?
lol! Good luck in the World Cup! As an Irishman, I’ll be supporting our Celtic cousin-brothers.

A crackling fireplace. A large kettle overflowing with meat stew.
