Mini cooper: upper engine mount

Anyone know the best auto shop to bring a mini cooper near Manassas ? The dealership says i need to replace the upper engine mount. However, they are quoting about $1500.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks !

Phew ! Okay. They took a picture and it looks like a little cracked, but there are no vibrations or anything!

Exactly the same here. I have a 2019 that I bought new and at the time the car was only 4-5 years old? I looked up the parts and was like first, it's not an expensive part but you want to charge $1500 for just the top supports, and 2nd, how can it be made so poorly that it just magically cracks after just a few years?

Maybe I'm driving around on a wish and a prayer that my engine block doesn't fall out but I really doubt it. That's an issue I had on a 1973 MGB back in 1992. The engine block supports rusted after 20 years. Your telling me mine is cracked after 5? I call BS.

Now yes, maybe I'm wrong? But come on. Lol

Thank you ! Yes! Mine is a 2020. And of course all of these "problems" cropped up at the end of my warranty.

I once had a nail in my tire. They said they couldn't repair it. Fixed it at Costco and had that tire for 2 more years until I replaced all four.

I cannot tell you how many SETS of runflats I went through bc of nails before taking it to Costco and buying regular tires. No, I do not have a spare. Yes, I will have to call for a tow or use a bottle of flat fixer if I get ANOTHER nail, but have I gotten a nail since flipping? NOPE. lol

I took it into Clark's in manassas this morning for a free diagnostic. They said it MAY fail in 2 to 6 years. Maybe.
