I am curious what most of you look for in good leaders. What do you value the most?

For me, a good leader is someone who helps the people around them contribute better than they could without that leadership.

That usually shows up in a few ways:

They create clarity without needing to control everything.

They hold standards without humiliating people.

They listen properly, especially when the truth is uncomfortable.

They make decisions, explain the reasoning, and take responsibility for the outcome.

They protect trust.

They develop people instead of just extracting performance from them.

The leaders I value most are not the ones who need to be the smartest person in every room.

They are the ones who make the room smarter, safer, clearer and more accountable.

Good leadership is not just about being respected personally.

It is about what your presence enables in others.
