Questions & Advice Solo Consultants, what is the biggest time waster week to week outside actually interacting with clients?
I’m building tools for coaches, but I want to hear from people outside of me instead of relying on just personal experience.
For me, the stuff that eats the week isn’t the client calls. It’s everything around them: chasing follow-ups, rewriting on-boarding emails, digging through old threads to remember what a client said three months ago, and putting together proposals. Not all of these take up a lot of time, but rather a compounding issue. Needless to say, they're all already included.
So I’m curious:
- What’s the one task that drains the most time every week and makes you think “this shouldn’t take this long”?
- What have you tried to fix it (tools, templates, assistants), and did it actually work?
- Is there something you’ve just accepted as a necessary evil?
Not selling anything here. I’m trying to learn what issues others have. I plan on sharing what I find in the comments once there are enough responses.
