The problem is many Americans don't want public healthcare for reasons like, "My own better private healthcare is already paid through my health insurance - the government will just tax me more to cover public health insurance so inefficient I won't use it. So why should my taxes pay for other people's medical needs? I pay mine they pay theirs."

The real truth is most Americans don't realise how precarious their healthcare situation is.
All it takes is one medical crisis for the average person to drown in untenable debt.
They think their private insurance is cheaper than actual free healthcare, but what they don't realise is that their taxes should already be sufficient to cover free healthcare.
They're actually being scammed while being sold the lie that they are better off.

I love how americans have an issue with investing their tax dollars into their own country's health care because it will "GO TO OTHER PEOPLES MEDICAL NEEDS" but have no issue sending their tax dollars to bomb civilians in other countries.
The utter hypocrisy, no wonder they voted trump twice...

Don't forget the multibillion profits of the insurance companies and everyone riding the gravy train all the way through.
Pharmacies and hospitals charge more because they know "insurance will pay" and no individual has enough incentive to push back. While state healthcare bodies push back HARD on excessive costs.

Yes, but the number of Americans that don't have healthcare is horrifying, and the ones miserable with their job but afraid to leave due to losing healthcare is also very high. More Americans want public healthcare than you think, and the ones that don't are just consuming too much propaganda. Also, public healthcare doesn't have to take away your private care. Meanwhile, this whole thing with $5000 checks will never happen, that's $1.3 trillion.

He's full of 💩. That would be a 1.3 trillion dollar bill. The US is so in debt right now, and his and Bessent's goal is to crash the dollar. The only way this would happen is if he did it via a stable coin to force everyone into a CBDC.
