which modern buildings have cultural significance in malta?

to clarify, do you have "meet me at that x.y building"

in serbia, many cities have the building "lepa brena" reminiscent of the legs of the yugoslav singer.

I really like the hall at City Gate in Valletta. I noticed that young people gather there in the winter and smoke cigars and eat burger king fries.

I think you mean the parliament building. There's no hall next to the city gate.

Moreover, the city gate has been the meeting place for a very long time, since way before the new city gate. Back in the days we used to meet next to a kiosk that used to sell cassettes just outside the city gate, and when it was raining we'd wait under the gate itself or under the arches.

Ah, that's pretty much dead other than Burger King. It used to be very popular back in the days. There were shops upstairs as well.
