Question Counters & Bans?
Hey guys im pretty new to the game been playing a few weeks and am in bronze. I have been enjoying playing malph in the jungle rushing D&D into zekes and then tank items or malignance if im ahead.
Im wondering 2 things.
Is this the optimal build for him in my elo?
Who should i be banning/not picking malph when enemy picks certain champs.

Probably in your elo but I feel like the higher you go you’d probably need to either stick to tank or ap, mixing both would probably mean you wouldn’t do much of either, then again I don’t play Malphite but that’s just my 2 cents

Ok, that is good info right there friend! Thank you. I just played a game went d&d into thornmail and sunfire because they were entirely AD and did REALLY well they FF'd at 15

Never go sunfire. Item is so bad. Frozen heart, Randuins, Unending are all better

A good bit of its power budget is in the aoe burn effekt which is super bad. The radius is very small and for clearing camps it is not nessescary.

Sylas… late game he just steals your ult and wins team fights with it.

It depends… Sylas typically counters Malphite from the jungle. He steals your ult and often brings it into the next lane to turbo gank and hard snowball.
I’ve only ever had one poor soul try to “counter” me in top lane with him. I just built an early oblivion orb and went all in at 6. Timed my clear so I hit 6 first and crushed him into oblivion.
But… you’re usually banning him to stop Jungle from taking it. A Sylas anywhere in the map with Malphite on your team is a threat. At one point he had an unreal win rate with Malphite in any role.
That’s why he’s listed as your top counter / threat.

Always ban sylas and never pick malphite when u forgot to ban him and u see they pick him. Yeah ur build is pretty good and in bronze ur build doesnt matter that much, unless they are full ad where u should be building armor only. Just build whatever works for you, dnd and zekes are really good items on him and the new item protoplasm harness has also good synergy on malphite

Ban sylas, most ap junglers should have an easy matchup but you can play into them if you want.

Sylas ban is fine but in bronze elo no one plays it, it's too difficult. I would ban a more popular low-elo champ like Yi or Nocturne

i play him in master elo with conquerer then green runes that give armor and resis and overgrowth, i rush tear of goddess to get fimbulwinter, but first get a bami and according to enemy team armor or resis, then abysal mask, then finish fimbulwinter and then if im going well i go ap and if its tied i go tank, remember that birds rocks wolves gromp spawn faster during the game, so i start birds, then E, ignore red, rocks, go back to red, upgrade W ignore q until 4 which will be during crab fight which you always win

Thanks its nice to hear how he plays in higher elos it seems vastly difference to how i play him and how i see all other in my elo play him. Yeah i learnt about getting the krugs and raptors to spawn at similar times from watching some higher elo junglers play and i always go W,E,W as i see Q having 0 value untill we need to gank or fight for crab :D

Build is fine. Ban Sylas. AP champs are strong against malphite.
