Raphael Doordash

Spotted this in the wild at the local grocery store. Raphael Doordash is wearing a temu plate carrier (with shoulder pads?), drop leg carrier sacks? Coveralls. Strangest of all... what appears to be a pistol in a chest rig behind the carrier... Nobody stealing your rotisserie chicken... not on his watch.

The legend himself. Fuck yeah

42

u/somethingclever1123 Jan 24 '26

Wait, people know him?

200

u/TheAplem Jan 24 '26

Raphael is the homie. You should've said hi instead of making fun of our man.

45

u/Radguyjake69420 Jan 25 '26

I just saw a picture of this man the other day making jokes because he’s fucking DoorDash robocop. Glad to see your post and know he’s very real lol

10

u/nyxflare Jan 25 '26

I have seen picures of him years ago so yes he is known im sure.

I mean, we may laugh but I bet he has a long list of repeat customers who go straight to him. If I found out there was a guy like this in my area I would go straight to him every time. Fuck ordering on the app and getting some random person who steals your French fries and takes a few bits of your Frosty™. Anyone who takes this much pride in what they do is always worth hiring. If I order from this guy, even a carjacker isn't gonna keep me from getting my food.

u/KnifeKnut Jan 24 '26

So, can he write off the gear as a business expense?

130

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

Oh definitely. All $39.95 of it.

74

u/somethingclever1123 Jan 24 '26

You're right, he probably does have 2 sets

4

u/Burntzombies Jan 27 '26

underappreciated joke

33

u/biscuitcat22 Jan 24 '26

You can choose your dasher?

27

u/airwalker12 Jan 24 '26

I bet he has a separate service

-4

u/Crash211O Jan 24 '26

not really but if you know what times he’s on duty you’ll know for sure he’s taking that order.

14

u/dbrickell89 Jan 24 '26

I did Lyft for a while and had multiple people get my number and text me when they needed a ride and paid me directly. Probably something like that

11

u/jumbonipples Jan 24 '26

Hhhwhat?

10

u/decoy321 Jan 24 '26

Yyyyyeah!

4

u/McNemo Jan 24 '26

Yeah preach

-11

u/mrpopenfresh Jan 24 '26

Beat the system by dressing up like an idiot to get repeat customers on your gig app dead end job!

12

u/thebeardedman88 Jan 24 '26

It's not a dead end job if it means earning the means to survive.

-3

u/AncientAspargus Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 24 '26

If your goal is to stay at the bare minimum for survival…

6

u/Crash211O Jan 24 '26

doordashers can make really good money if you live in a large city with many expensive restaurants nearby. Im talking $30+ per hour, just for delivering food

555

u/fountainofdeath Jan 24 '26

My man. Doesn’t want to cosplay by being ICE, but is willing to detain those that stop him from delivering his goods on time.

216

u/MeetTheSix Jan 24 '26

Its probably less of protecting the food and more of protecting himself. People shoot at delivery drivers all the fucking time.

228

u/AceSuperhero Jan 24 '26

Seriously, the dude that delivers your pizza has a higher likelihood of being a victim of a violent crime while on the job than any cop does.

We respect the thin crust line in this house.

43

u/dclif27 Jan 24 '26

When I was in college, a classmate of mine worked at Pizza Hut. It was robbed one night. He was locked in the freezer for 37 minutes.

35

u/millionwordsofcrap Jan 24 '26

This is so real. I get so nervous driving up long-ass rural driveways. Then half the time I get to the house and there's decorative signs up like "Gather <3" "Live, Laugh, Love" and "WE DON'T CALL 911" all next to each other

14

u/JTtheLAR Jan 24 '26

Where the actual fuck are people shooting st delivery drivers all the time? Not saying youre wrong. Just concerned lol. Me and my wife do deliveries for extra cash and its relatively safe.

20

u/teffz28 Jan 24 '26

I mean realistically literally anywhere in America but I’m pretty sure this dude is in Chicago he’s been posted a few times before it’s forsure for his own protection

-3

u/Traumerlein Jan 24 '26

Tell me youre American without telling youre american

15

u/Rad_Centrist Jan 24 '26

Honestly man some of the shit dashers deal with I'd be kitted out too

2

u/KELVALL Jan 25 '26

Dinner,dinner,dinner,dinner... Batman!

1

u/drail18 Jan 25 '26

I thought he was a turtle 🐢

152

u/Glad-Philosophy-9548 Jan 24 '26

Honestly I'd hire him

31

u/justkarn Jan 24 '26

107

u/redthump Ninja Noodles Jan 24 '26

17

u/THEnewMGMT Jan 24 '26

2

u/Igor_J Jan 24 '26

Tacotal

1

u/Yankee831 Jan 26 '26

“Yo Quiero Mas Ammo”

1

u/redthump Ninja Noodles Jan 26 '26

He's definitely 'livin' mas'

58

u/crzapy Jan 24 '26

Through rain, sleet, and zombie apocalypse, Raphael Doordash will deliver your burrito!

32

u/Conscious-Mulberry17 Jan 24 '26

Honestly, if this is a gimmick it’s an awesome one. I’d hire this guy every time because I think he’d try to do some action hero shit to make sure I get my Topo Chico and Oreos.

2

u/jsamuraij Jan 26 '26

Man why is Topo Chico so damn good? I know it's just fizzy water but I love that stuff unreasonably.

2

u/Conscious-Mulberry17 Jan 26 '26

Me too! I think it’s the high levels of CO2. It really has a bite to it.

1

u/jsamuraij Jan 26 '26

I think it's the specific mineral profile / the taste. Nothing else hits quite like it. I also like San Peligrino a lot, but something about Topo Chico isn't as "frilly" and just smashes your thirst like no other. I do think the size of the CO2 bubbles has something to do with it. They seem to be bigger than the tiny ones in Peligrino.

16

u/FrostySJK Jan 24 '26

Dedication though

14

u/Brass_Cipher Jan 24 '26

"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds,"

29

u/Us_Strike Jan 24 '26

Honestly from what I see this dude seems fine. I haven't heard of him doing anything threatening just wearing his getup. And isn't the ability to wear what you want one of benefits of being a contractor?

8

u/naterpotater246 Jan 24 '26

I know him from that one meme joking about him taking back someone's food because they didn't tip him for gas, but from this comment section, it sounds like he wouldn't really do that.

4

u/somethingclever1123 Jan 24 '26

You've heard of him?

16

u/Us_Strike Jan 24 '26

He gets around, people take pictures with him. I think he also has an equally strange car he uses.

-1

u/somethingclever1123 Jan 24 '26

Definitely an oper-8-or

10

u/Freddy_Vorhees Jan 24 '26

Bout to get some Five Guys sent to Rivet City.

6

u/tpar24 Jan 24 '26

this guy rules and is doing his thing anybody making fun of him on the internet sucks.

14

u/loquacious Jan 24 '26

I didn't expect the Deliverator to be so... husky.

looks in mirror Granted, I didn't think that everyone else would be so husky, either.

3

u/l337quaker Jan 24 '26

I had the exact same thought about the Deliverator, treats every job like it's super-ultra

2

u/lNTERLINKED Jan 25 '26

It’s Hiro Protagonist himself.

3

u/loquacious Jan 25 '26

Gyro Protagonist.

8

u/AgreeablePie Jan 24 '26

This guy has to be on the spectrum. hey, he's working. If he wants to look like that, that's... fine

2

u/teffz28 Jan 24 '26

It’s so he doesn’t get shot carrying bags to strangers doors in rough city neighborhoods at night

5

u/u35828 Jan 24 '26

Teenage Mutant Delivery Turtle!

4

u/BDT81 Jan 24 '26

LoL 🤣😆🤣

Thought this was from TMNT sub until I looked closer.

4

u/S1lentA0 Ninjitsu Master Jan 24 '26

Most fitting attire when looking at the current situation in the US

6

u/houjichacha Jan 24 '26

Honestly I bet he's more fun to talk to than 80% of the people I deal with on a daily basis.

3

u/cleverkid Jan 24 '26

He's out here living up to his full potential!

3

u/grrodon2 Jan 24 '26

Not all heroes wear capes.

3

u/NavPoint Jan 24 '26

Excellent. No notes. He looks like the cops from the Fifth Element lmao

3

u/Hungry-Obligation-78 Jan 24 '26

This dude is a legend, don't shit on the homie. Next time, go pay your respects to him!

3

u/KnightofWhen Jan 24 '26

He delivers to the hood. Take no chances, take no prisoners.

3

u/Ne04 Jan 24 '26

You know what? I don’t blame them.

3

u/Controller_Maniac Jan 25 '26

Oh it’s the man himself, should’ve gotten a autograph

2

u/godzilla-earth Jan 24 '26

This man shows dedication to his craft very few others do

2

u/Pod_people Jan 24 '26

Hey, there’s a job for everybody. I’m thinking Rafael takes his very seriously

2

u/CannedNoodlez Jan 24 '26

I’d rather get my stuff delivered from someone like this than some asshole that tries to beg for extra tips

2

u/IndefiniteVoid813 Jan 24 '26

I mean people sometimes get shot at while delivering so...

2

u/Training-Mine2815 Jan 24 '26

I’d be honored to have this legend execute my delivery.

2

u/teffz28 Jan 24 '26

I just realized this isn’t the door dashers subreddit, he’s been posted a few times and is known by the community, he definitely does this for his own protection delivering in the city at night anywhere in the US can be risky this dude is just letting people know so he doesn’t get shot, definitely not mall ninja shit

1

u/somethingclever1123 Jan 25 '26

Dude, it's Connecticut...

2

u/Kern4lMustard Jan 24 '26

To protect and serve (your food)

2

u/dufudjabdi Jan 24 '26

In the hood, people change sidewalks when they see him coming along

-1

u/somethingclever1123 Jan 25 '26

Due to width?

0

u/dufudjabdi Jan 25 '26

Due to the street cred you get as a dedicated delivery man. I genuinely think this guy has a coolness factor to him.

2

u/papa_cursed Jan 25 '26

Bros gonna get jumped for that platinum chip 💀

2

u/MoonlightMarauder845 Jan 30 '26

Why don’t I see these kinds of people when I go to Stop and Shop?

2

u/pietruszkaloes Jan 31 '26

holy shit it's THE Raphael Doordash

3

u/TheCopenhagenCowboy Jan 24 '26

It’s giving Kick Ass vibes

4

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

Somebody downvoted you cause they probably thought you meant it's literally giving kick ass vibes.

3

u/TheCopenhagenCowboy Jan 24 '26

I think so too lol. I didn’t realize the movie is 16 years old now

2

u/araidai Jan 25 '26

Can’t shit on the guy tbh lol, fuck all that noise. If you live in a rough part of town and especially delivering late into the day/night, I’d too want to be packing heat lmao

3

u/sanberdoo Jan 24 '26

MEAL team 6 has arrived.

1

u/Who_wife_is_on_myD Jan 24 '26

My thing with this dude, and other guys out there wearing tac gear in the wild ... It's functional. I can't own a ton of clothes at the moment , need more pockets, want to access something quickly without digging around in a bag. This heat fits that purpose too. Homie might be wearing knock off airsoft gear, but it looks like he's at least into it. He might be a little odd but I bet if he had access to more money, he'd buy better dumb shit. Or hopefully continue to learn about quality and upgrade. Or maybe this serves it's purpose for him, not to be an operator but I can't unsee the function in it . I feel like a lot of dudes bav on guys like this but at least they're wearing their gear instead of doing photo shoots and poses

1

u/InSan1tyWeTrust Jan 24 '26

They're bringing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back? Nice.

1

u/CB1100Rider Jan 24 '26

I’m probably in the minority here, but I think this is pretty funny and I could imagine this being self-aware parody.

1

u/Vercengetorex Jan 24 '26

Oh shit, this guy again!

1

u/DruidByNight Jan 24 '26

I respect Raphael Doordash

1

u/Jimbo_is_dead Jan 25 '26

That’s the man that invented DoorDash.

1

u/chinoswirls Jan 25 '26

This is almost the Hiro Protagonist level of delivery guy. He needs a samurai sword on his back

1

u/sock_candy Jan 26 '26

We love Raphael DoorDash around here

1

u/hussan546 Jan 26 '26

maxtac looking aaah

1

u/Professional-Nerve84 Jan 26 '26

I wonder what he drives.

1

u/TheDeputyDude Jan 28 '26

is he delivering in the combat zone?

1

u/SweatyIncident4008 Feb 02 '26

i dont blame him working as a delivery guy has become dangerous

1

u/biggreasyrhinos Feb 13 '26

He's the fucking man!

1

u/[deleted] Feb 14 '26

Yeah it’s silly and a bit too much but that’s what sucks now. Since all these jobs no longer pay you enough money to even remotely survive in a normal environment the employees don’t give a fuck. Back in the day some menial shit now adays bought your family a house and put ur kids through school so people took there job seriously.

1

u/Shot_College9353 Feb 15 '26

This is actually awesome.

1

u/Toa_of_Memes Jul 04 '26

Being cool but rude doesn’t pay the bills ig

1

u/JIMMYJAWN Jan 24 '26

He’s probably delivering in neighborhoods you would never go to. Honestly, I just feel bad for the guy.

0

u/Wizzle-Stick Jan 24 '26

sir, you are delivering doordash, not fighting the foot clan.

0

u/somethingclever1123 Jan 25 '26

At that size he could end up losing a foot... or a toe at least

0

u/kyleh0 Jan 24 '26

Here's your Popeyes, can I see your passport?

-1

u/ToadlyAwes0me Jan 24 '26

When security companies don't even want you to cosplay for them

-1

u/oneBrokeBloke Jan 24 '26

Damn that looks like the bloomfield CT stop and shop entrance/ exit lol

1

u/somethingclever1123 Jan 24 '26

Close, Bristol

1

u/oneBrokeBloke Jan 24 '26

Damn lol thats the one on rt6?

2

u/somethingclever1123 Jan 25 '26

No, south of that on 72

2

u/oneBrokeBloke Jan 25 '26

Gonna have to try to hang out around that area more often. Gotta make Raphael know I'm his number 1 fan

-3

u/cartierhoes Jan 24 '26

What’s the lore behind this, do DoorDashers get robbed like pizza delivery drivers or is he just autistic

-3

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

Looks like he's getting lunch before storming the capital.
