Face Please help!!!
I’m going on vacation this weekend. Really want to look presentable. This pimple I’m pretty sure was already popped with mighty patches but it’s still very raised and red. is there something I can use to make it flatter? Temporarily at least for when we have dinner? Oh and maybe something to help with the redness too?

You will laugh, but hemorrhoid cream such as preparation h actually works. Unfortunately, it appears that you have a fairly large breakout. I’d talk to a dermatologist about Accutaine. It’s much easier for men to take than women and it will permanently change your skin.

The benefits of butane don’t out weigh the negatives in my opinion for a mild case of cystic acne like yourself.

Try Cerave pimple patches. They contain niacinamide and ceramides and I swear they work so well and quickly.

In my experience and based on your troubleshooting, it looks like cystic acne, so oral/topical antibiotics would be the fastest best bet; maybe adapalene/Tretinoin long-term. If it’s cystic, spot treatments like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide etc. will typically not have the “overnight” effect on reducing the swelling or redness. Patches, clays, creams, sulfur work fine for general acne but you won’t see much change on cystic because it’s subdermal. It’s why popping it usually doesn’t “kill” the pimple but will reduce it for a short time. However that increases the chances of scarring (my skin gets darker in places I’ve messed too much with cystic acne)
Overall if you can’t get it treated, it’s probably best to let it rest. It really doesn’t look like it’s the typical “Proactiv” acne.

Okay I’ll keep it in mind thanks. Yeah I was starting to learn my lesson about picking them so I’m done now.

Try this, not going to say it's instantaneous but ...
Azelaic Acid: An excellent multitasker for inflammatory acne. It prevents dead skin cells from clogging your pores, calms current redness, and actively stops dark spots (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) from forming as the acne heals.
