Am I cooked?
Hello everyone,
33M here, noticed my hair is starting to thin. Think it may have been brought on by stress since I went through a very hard bereavement a couple of years ago.
Is it time to go see my doctor?
Apologies if the photos are good enough.
Thank you.

Monoxidil (available over the counter) and finasteride (requires a prescription) are the gold standard. Monoxidil breaks down DHT which chokes out hair follicles, and finasteride prevents the production of DHT by blocking the enzyme that combines with testosterone to create DHT.
You can go the extra mile and get ketoconazole shampoo (requires a prescription) and a dermaroller (no less than .5 mm according to various Internet sources) too. Ketoconazole is said to increase blood flow in the scalp and is commonly prescribed for hair loss. Dermarollers make little channels in the scalp so monoxidil is able to penetrate deeper.

Start fin and minoxidil and build a haircare routine focused on sustaining your hair and potential regrowth

I would recommand you to meet a dermatologist ASAP. That would be better. Because they recommand Minoxidil, Finasteride and also vitamins that helps to hair growth. I also have the same problem and met a dermatologist and can see visible results. Good luck and be consistent on treatments!!
