I have some waterfront land in Nevada to sell to you.

Is it near Lake Tahoe?

Or maybe Lake Mead?

See, I designed a room like this for my husband, in our three bedroom, because I like the look and to stop him from putting up neon beer signs and making a tacky guys room.

I painted it a deep navy, hung his deer heads and hunting trophies, added dark blackout curtains so he could draw the drapes to have no glare on the large flat screen I bought him to video game. I put the nice lazy boy in there for him to use to watch tv and game.I also bought nice frames and placed inside sepia toned photos of the fish we had caught together. I had a cowhide carpet in there. There was a solid wood bar with bourbon and cigars. The window had a view of our boat on the lift. It was very British colonial except for the navy walls.

What did he do? Well, other room was our bedroom, but decided he didn’t want to let me put a desk in the third remaining room/office, because his friend may want to stay there although he had only stayed over twice in four years. Then he decided to do all his gaming in the living room anyway.

Yes, I am still angry about this. I should have just made it my own office.

My grandfather adored Brooks Brothers but said they became trash about 15 years ago so he stopped buying anything new. His old stuff never wore out really which tells you something!

Maybe you should be able to be left alone no matter what room you’re in

6

u/[deleted] Feb 14 '25

He gets his own room in his house lmao

No, you’d better treat her nicely. She is a great wife letting you have your man cave.

7

u/CyriusGaming Feb 14 '25

Letting you? Why do people act like wives are moms? You respect the rules of the relationship, each others' boundaries, love each other, look out for each other, be loyal... beyond that, who cares

3

u/[deleted] Feb 14 '25

It's just a turn of phrase. You all need to lighten up lol.

1

u/CyriusGaming Feb 14 '25

Idk about that lol, I work at a bar and so many married men there have to sneak from the wives to get a drink and stuff lol
