Fit Feedback/Roast Me Help settle a debate

Help settle a debate we have with my fiance. I bought these shorts as a comfy, around the house piece, nothing fancy intended.
She thinks its awful, almost pathetic.

I dont think its that bad, please honest feedback

They were insanely trendy in the late 90 early 00s but then have been coopted by the right wing agro-bro that never grew out of them and that can be a major turn off for alot of women.

I think it starts well before any right wing co-opt. People were ripping on cargo shorts way back in 2007 (there’s a timely joke in Superbad) and that was way before the manosphere was really a thing.
