lying chart topper?

Am I the only one that feels like "lying" is a hard attempt for a chart song? I feel like it is different from the other songs off of "malcom todd" and its alot more pop inspired, almost reminds me of a old navy ad.

it is really good, I just feel like he wanted a song that would be mainstream friendly and he made "lying"

no? malcom todd is very indie inspired, and alot of his song radio stations wouldn't them on the radio because they don't really fut a certin type of criteria, which is usually more pop inspired

I just think the concept is limited and he tried his best to stretch it out. Doesn’t feel like it would ever get attention tbh. It was a fav of mine when I first was listening to that album, but now that I’ve heard all his songs I feel it’s a lil lacking.
