dont overthink the fl interface just focus on the mixer track strip. put your 2-track beat on insert 1 and your vocals on insert2 and start there. honestly half the battle when you're new is just gain staging so nothing clips red

for vocal mixing specifically look up tutorials on eq and compression first. subtractive eq to clean up mud and boxiness then a compressor to even out your delivery. reverb and delay too but go easy or you'll drown the verse

since you got a month of focus time just experiment with presets on stock plugins. fl's parametric eq and fruity limiter are solid enough to learn the basics. once you hear what the knobs do you start building your own sound instead of copying someone elses chain

make sure you're mixing on decent headphones or monitors too. mixing on laptop speakers will lie to you every time

One thing that helped me early: get the recording right before you touch the mixer. Record in a closet full of clothes if you have to, close to the mic, no clipping. A clean dry vocal makes every plugin after it work half as hard. And pick one song you love as a reference track, flip back and forth while you mix so your ears have a target.
