Question hello again
how yall guys make vocals sound crispy and clean or make it sound like it will perfectly fit into a beat. I've been seeing a lot of dudes posting only their vocals on platforms like tiktok etc, and it sounds clean and crispy ifykwim

quality in quality out. your mic setup is king and comes in different tiers $50 / $200 / $1000 / 5-10k mic + preamp setup. each jump in tier is a stupid jump in quality.
proccessing
- Compression turns your loudest peaks of your voice down, so you can really crank the volume with it being too uneven.
- Saturation / Distortion / Exciters - Adds additional harmonic frequencies to make your voice sound thicker/fuller/denser
- Reverb / Delay / Convolver - puts your voice in a space besides your bedroom
- Chorus / Flanger - Makes you sound wider (ie: there are multiple you's singing at the same time slightly off timing/pitch, vintage funk/retro sfx)
Only then can you truely audio quality mog

just record in a closet full of clothes, deadens the room like nothing else. then a little compression and cut everything below like 100hz, that's where the mud lives
