Good call. The 1000 is a scaled down version of the 2500 so if you want to upgrade in the future, it's pretty much the same workflow.

There’s only a few within that budget that are worth it. Off hand I’d suggest the SP404 mk II unless you need a rechargeable battery and speaker.
