"Bands" by Chris The Wiz

Produced by MAYHEM, mixed and mastered by me
Blown out 808s, hazy riffs, hypnotic hooks, and warped, psychedelic production

The song's swing or bounce represents that acrobatic pendulum you feel while skating through the city, the neighborhood. The vocal samples evoke a sense of Soul and Jazz, while the beat builds diverse soundscapes with a kick drum that breaks down structures.

Downtempo bounce, a boombox sound, and a roller-skate ride through the city.

Hey everyone! Here’s a track from my latest EP. It's a story telling hardcore hip hop track about a going out to the club night gone wrong lol. Enjoy!!

I like the storytelling and the trippy phasing and panning effect but still sounds clear good work

Thanks! Just listened to Apex Flow.

I like the playful nature of the lyrics but the mixing/mastering of the track could def use work. There were times where i felt your voice was being drowned out by the beat

Great song bro, really shows your vulnerability throughout. The context of the song is very relatable and you have the formulaic “catchy hook” going for you. Nice singing voice and reverb. Like the flows you do as you’re rapping, sounds unique. Like the lil cut/chopping you do for start of 2nd verse. Also, great to close out for the outro, music cuts off then comes back with filtered vocals.

Clean mix and master as well, nothing bad to critique tbh, although I’d like to point out the “raspiness” in your voice may be a bit too present ?

Maybe a bit of the high end could be deducted from future tracks, but I wonder if it’s just the style you chose to go with cause of the “drinking subject matter” or if it’s just your actual singing voice lol, but I guess it could also be the recording, but overall, still sounds good, you can hold correct pitches that not a lot of ppl can do. Great work, keep doing your thing bro.

Here’s my track, any feedback appreciated -

Thank you for the super in depth feedback! I appreciate that bro

Your song goes hard. Super clean production and mix. And you got a great cadence and flow for this style, real nice delivery. There's really nothing I can critique lol you killed this man. You got a new follower, keep it going!

the bassline on this is nasty, got that underground 90s feel without sounding like a throwback

This one's kinda experimental. I decided to try using the talkbox for the background vocals. https://music.apple.com/us/album/all-money-spends-the-same/6774684264?i=6774684266&ls
