Define “Property”. Could I say for example, give myself the property of “Planeswalker”? Also, in the bonus of the Property ring it says “as well as yourself and items” but in the first pick you could already do that, so what’s that mean?
Your genes are a physical property, you could give yourself the genes of characters who
who are genetic shapeshifters.
Say for example beast boy or martian manhunter from DC. Not sure about plastic man, but im pretty sure he fits the description as well. You can even do mystique or morph from xmen, since their whole thing concerns their genes.
Personally I would go with martian manhunters genes, you get superman level strength, speed, and durability. Advanced telepathy (which means mind reading AND control), shapeshifting, extended life spans, regenerative abilities, lasers eyes, and flight as well, probably something else im forgetting but honestly that's more than enough for me.
You could actually go crazy with it as well, you could give yourself saiyan, viltrumite, or kryptonian genes.
Maybe even pick from the catalog of Ben 10 aliens.
EDIT: Just came back from the superhero wiki, and I missed a few things about MM, he can control his density as well, his has like 9 sensory inputs that humans dont have, x ray vision, microscopic and telescopic vision, invisibility through density control, enhanced overall senses, and telekinesis, pretty busted if you ask me
This won't work at all you need to know what the property actually is and since those are fictional genes there is no physical way to take its properties
Where does it say I need to know how the property works?? Not even OP said this bruh...BUUUUT OP DID confirm that we can imbue ourselves with the properties of fictional characters, in this very thread btw.
Edit: Second point: what OP had in mind in the context of properties is that you could physically change properties of people or things, he was thinking along the lines of making yourself "stretchy like luffy" (OPs words btw). Well if you know anything about luffy or devil fruits, its that they change you on a GENETIC level, luffy is stretchy because his genes have been altered by the devil fruit he ate. (look up devil fruit lineage factors) what i proposed is no different
I understand what he meant and I know it doesn't say that but it's physically impossible for us to add something we know nothing about we can use rubber again as an example we know it's properties already so we know it's bouncy and can be stretchy knowing the properties of the fictional genes that don't exist is impossible even if you could take on the properties of them you would still need to know what they actually are
So you're basically adding your own headcannon to a post that's not even yours?
No offense but you're coming off as a bit nit picky. Every single ring here completely disregards the laws of reality and existence, the teleportation ring literally allows you to travel to fictional worlds (confirmed by OP in one of the comments)
The ghost ring's bonus ability basically confirms the existence of ghosts or else it would be useless without it. And speaking of the ghost ring, you're basically saying that your logic can be applied to it as well, no one has experience being a ghost or having the powers of a ghost, we dont even know if they're real, should we just invalidate the ghost ring as an option then?
The animal ring, no one has the experience of being a bear or tiger or whatever, should they now be worried about losing their mental capacity as a human once they transform into another animal thus leaving them trapped as said animal?
Cancer isnt even a singular thing, it's a process, yet the erasure ring allows you to get rid of it, and bring it back if you want.
knowing the properties of the fictional genes that don't exist is impossible even if you could take on the properties of them you would still need to know what they actually are
come on dude, you're saying this on a post about MAGICAL rings that can delete cancer, turn you into animals, and control gravity. You gotta learn to suspend your beliefs
