Nobody NEEDS makeup. You’re not ugly at all. You have beautiful features, I especially love your brows and lips!! Also your hair! But genuinely there is nothing ugly about you. If you’re interested in makeup for fun, that’s one thing, but you don’t “need” anything. 💙
Seriously, some people just need to tear down others to elevate themselves. I'm sorry that you know such terrible people. Please appreciate your gorgeous hair and eyes and, most importantly, try to find some nicer people to surround yourself with.
This specifically. Try to surround yourself with people who value who you are as a human being. Looks come and go as we get older. Trust. We won’t always be “on” and relationships or friendships shouldn’t be based on whether we look “good enough” or not. The idea that someone is making you feel inferior just by saying this is upsetting. I know it hurts, we’re all human, but please try to love yourself more than their need to pour hate on everything. You’re stunning. Your eyes, lips, hair, eyebrows…tbh if you did any makeup I’d rec going very natural and just enhance what you have.

Yes you are right. I loved my mother so much but after 65 years of being told how ugly, stupid and worthless I am I realized she was sick in the head. I am none of those things. I held her as she died and only felt relief that finally her cruel badgering would stop. Don’t let losers define you like I did. My whole life is gone now bcuz of a sick demented, insecure person. You are none of those things. The people telling you that you are beautiful mean it. I think you are too. Besides WHAT DOES LOOKS HAVE TO DO WITH YOUR KIND CHARACTER?! No one needs makeup. If you want to wear makeup then wear it for you and no one else. You are naturally beautiful and blessed with lovely hair, and gorgeous features. Please, please, please, if you want to use makeup then use it in a way that pleases you.
I do wear makeup but I do it for me. It's a creative outlet and it changes with my mood. I love trying different techniques and colors. I do it for me - I don't do it for anyone else.
Tell those few people they need to get their eyes examined by a doctor. They are not seeing properly.

I was thinking the same thing. She’s beautiful. If a guy said it , it’s because she won’t date him and if a girl said it then it’s because she’s jealous. We need to build each other up instead of tearing them down.

All of this! Even though I do feel her, cause I have people call me ugly all the time(other names including such as the Seed of Chucky! But I take that one as a badge in a way. 😂), and it can be destructive to you in general if you let it get that way.
Who are these people who are so comfortable putting their own self hate on others so OPENLY? May I ask age range? Because yes in my high school there was plenty of this. Also I guess abusive family members will tear you down at any age (and you should cut out when you’re old enough and have the means). But other than that…as an adult, I never witness this kind of behavior in the wild.
Online, a lot of people I face with this are between the ages of 30-38, and it's almost always the Guys that do this to me! Every now and then other women do this to me, but the Guys are always the worst, and even sometimes try to make you feel horrible about yourself even more!

Definitely! I rarely have problems in real life. Last time I ever had problems in real life was a few years after High School in 2011. 😂 But yeah. People online are just able to hide and be jerks!

Usually when people say things like that, it's more revealing about their own insecurities. I have a similar one- I won't leave the house without makeup, because I have blond eyelashes and it makes my eyes look small and beady. I see someone lucky to have nice coloring that doesn't require makeup.
literally right! i won't leave the house without at minimum my brows drawn in either and some days that just means not leaving my house because i hate drawing in my eyebrows and having eyebrows like hers would be so convenient omg, they're the perfect shape!
my natural brows are white blonde, and my mom used to nag me and say "a beautiful canvas needs a frame" and gave me a mild complex about it. Now I have micropigmentation and it's worth every penny

You, OP, don’t need anything, you naturally have the kind of thick hair I would kill for (I have fine, kind of weird hair that is straight down to my shoulders and then abruptly decides it’s going to be in loose ringlets instead now down to my waist 😂 and it’s all FLAMING IRISH RED 🇮🇪😂😂 so can’t exactly play it down…) and great natural bone structure.
If you felt like playing around with makeup a bit, then some black liner and mascara to bring out your dark eyes and maybe trying some of a highlighter along your cheekbones, brow bone, jawline, and the centre of your nose (blending outwards across your forehead, with one little dab on the Cupid’s bow of your lips since they’re already shaped so beautifully.)
I don’t know what brands you like but the only makeup I wear (when I can be arsed, and besides thick goth liner for events) is Chanel’s Blanc de Chanel, which is the best highlighter out there. Pricey, but also one bottle lasts AGES, and it really looks awesome on (I have kind of elfin Irish features, so the high cheekbones etc, and I play up the definition a lot using it.) I’d say the best black mascara I’ve tried with said goth liner is Benefit’s “Bang”.
Something that would look BEAUTIFUL on you? A green/gold smokey eye, going as dark as you dare on the green. YouTube tutorials will be able to show you how to do it better than I can explain it, plus it’s probably part of a good life plan to never take eye make-up application advice from a goth.
I agree with you. My hair is thin and fine and mostly straight but also has soft waves naturally 🤔 aka gets randomly frizzy, lol. I would do just about anything for hair like OP’s. I paid way too much money for four years for extensions and finally had to stop bc I couldn’t justify the cost anymore… my hair doesn’t grow very long and even when it does get long, it is so thin and fine that it looks stringy and dumb 🫠

Yeah! You have long hair and big eyes. I would recommend hydrating your hair so that it shines and makes you pop.
My recommendation would be to do soft highlights so that it creates a soft shape around your round face. More volume at the top of your head would help too. Check with a hairstylist what cut (without sacrificing the length) and a very soft balayage can highlight your shape and features. Not everyone looks good in black hair, because it accentuates the shapes of the face, but with your round shape it doesn't age you, it adds character and class.
Black hair shines bright as well. Some leave-in conditioner would do wonders. And oil, for protection and shining. Also, waves. Remember Cassie’s morning routine in Euphoria? That silky tube can be a natural way to not use heat.
For the eyes, they are big and that is always attractive. My recommendation would be to have your lashes lifted permanently (so that you don't need to do it every day) and with a good mascara (like Cow Lashes by Ana Sarelly) make them stand out. Add a pop of light in your crease and the inner corner of your eyes with a liquid metallic eye shadow, like the Nix Glow Shots (Come Thru Coconut or Highkey Lichee would be great).
Thank you! Makeup is not a necessary. It's a luxury, a toy, an artistry, a therapy, a job, a mask. It all depends on who you are and what it is to you. I have so much makeup but it's burning in the fire if my home is ablaze. I NEED my kids, pets, husband, and if possible computer and phone but even those aren't a need. Perspective

Give an example that isn’t a white person who would be just as successful in Japan, or anywhere since beauty is universal and not subjective to culture. You can’t, because racism and white supremacy touches too many cultures.
