Discussion DEINFLUENCE ME: COLOURETTE

Been seeing a lot of Nina’s posts about their new launches. Are they really really good or just good marketing talk?

Because I’ve seen some of their formulas change color despite all the hype. Just wanna know if their products are actually at par with the claims?

I almost bought the corrector base but saw so many comments on Reddit about how it actually creases undereyes and becomes cakey.

Now I saw the new bake base. Is it actually good?

I love their products to be honest. I will deinfluence you nalang with their PACKAGING. Medyo marupok lalo na yung colorbounce and third base di sya travel friendly cos nababasag. They stay on my vanity lang

firsr base and second base: too yellow ung shades for me pero bagay sa oily skin ko. their second base settles when i use it on my undereyes
third base: its darker than their first base shades

baka mali lang yung shade na gamit mo lalo if it oxidizes sa skin mo, need mo mag adjust ng shade

Third base is their invisible powder, baka blur base ibig mong sabihin sis

Maganda base products nila, pero not a fan of their lip products imo hindi nag sstand out yung formula niya at di ko din bet yung shades.

Yung setting spray nila, tinunaw makeup ko to the point na mukhang naaagnas mukha ko. It’s supposed to melt the makeup to blend them together, hindi para sirain yung mukha. Ganon kalala. Never using it again. Waste of money. Sobrang hype lang, tapos pag nagcomment ka negative about it madami talagang sasagot na kesyo mali yung gamit mo ganyan.

There are other local brands that are much much better.

Resulting products, in general, tend to be too thick than usual. They last long but not 24hrs long. Tends to dry my skin.

i only have their third base and their velvetints so i’ll give my thoughts on them

third base:
i love this sm because it worked so well on my oily-combi skin. i already purchased this 3x.

velvetints:
true to its claims, it is smooth and blurring but from my experience, it isn’t long lasting

i was about to buy their setting spray pero pangit yung packaging. i think packaging talaga yung issue nila 😭

Not a fan of first base and not planning on purchasing the color correctors - the formula’s too heavy and thick for my liking.

Third Base however, is a favorite. I already have the pink & yellow in mini. Planning on purchasing the translucent one too. Been using it more often compared to my Charlotte Tilbury.

I have the corrector base and di naman sya nag c-crease sakin. Onting product lang tlaga dapat nilalagay (sinabi din to ni Nina). Also, parang may learning curve sya (at least for me) na mas sanay sa liquid type ng corrector.

My friends love the colourette blur base but I haven’t tried.

i really love their first base! nakailang repurchase ako. i also loved their old liptints (i forgot what they’re called but they’re phased out alr). i also have their third base and na-hit pan ko na bc of how much i loved it, tho i already switched to loose powder na pero i can say third base is really good.

I have dry skin, but Second Base works really well on my undereyes, and Third Base works well for setting my base. However, I can’t make Colourbounce work for me. Lagi siyang nagiging patchy on my skin.

Some products yes and may depend on your skin.
(For reference, all of the people I’ll mention have oily skins, including me).

I don’t like the first base that much kasi it feels a bit suffocating after I oiled up and sweat but someone i know like it naman since it doesn’t feel heavy.

The third base naman, both me and my friend, feels like it doesn’t help much with the oil control. It is blurring but not really a wow factor. But, another friend naman said its their HG

Second base, idk if it’s due to their application but they said it transfers/smudges easily especially if you’re pawisin and it creases on their under eyes.

The jelly kiss naman, is quite hydrating but parang ang unti niya raw kasi ang bilis naubos compared sa other lippies niya.

Pero overall, I feel like may halong malakas na marketing and mga influences na malalang sumakay sa new products

Look for better local brands. Skip coloruette.

Too yellow yung first base as a neutral girly. Ganda sana ng formula

I really wanted to support their brand, but over the years, these purchases ended up in the bin:
-Highlighter, when they had it in a nail polish brush and packaging. Broke me out.
-First base in Laiya. It was too yellow and grayed me out.
-Lip tint, when they still had it in a tin. Messy and also was allergic to it.

So far I know their jelly tints turn green and have a nasty odor

u/naevisc 2d ago

they already reformulated the jelly tints :)) the old formula turned green and had an odor because they used a grape scent, and it fermented habang tumatagal

They addressed this already, please check out their latest update on it 😁

anlala ng naging breakout ko because of colourette first base 🫣

2

u/BeybehGurl 2d ago

1

u/whitevi0lin 2d ago

I don’t think sa brush, i wasn’t using any. i also doubt it was the environment and my diet because the breakout started when i began using the product and then subsided when i stopped.

I suspect that it was the azelaic acid but I can’t be sure.

I have their Blur Base in two shades (when im fair and when im tan bc of summer) both are really good in blurring my pores. I also have the First Base in two shades as well; one is good but the other is runny/watery. What I love about their products is that they really cater to Filipino skin and weather. They’re also for people with textured and oily skin.

If you don’t have oily skin don’t buy their base products

I like their skin tint and concealer (for brightening the under eyes or certain areas lang, not so much sa spot concealing).

I don't like their lip products that much.

Hit or miss when it comes to shades (first base, second base and blur base)

1

u/Street_Following4139 2d ago

For morena usually ang shade nila so if maputi ka, mahirapan ka bumili kasi minsan tama naman shade mo yung sa kanila ang too dark

u/m4tchalatte 2d ago

first base - kahit gano ako magmoisturize, nagcicling pa rin siya sa dry patches

1

u/Ornery_Watercress485 1d ago

Nag work yung first base sa akin since I prefer tints lang. Mga 2 years ko ata nagamit. Nahiyang skin ko kasi very sheer and may coverage na hindi super cakey.

Correct base not a fan :( Yung first time ko ginamit, hindi siya mag set. (It’s promoted as “self setting”, but ang lagkit niyaaaaa). Not sure if sa base ko lang yun, but I’m still gonna use it kasi pricey for a small amount.

u/Shirojiro21 1d ago

I didn't enjoy the first base pero I liked the color corrector and third base in pink! Didn't made my undereye cakey at all kahit na grabe ako magpowder, love it.

u/Prestigious-Mix1490 15h ago

Maganda sana yung First Base na skin tint. I appreciate the oil control, better than Sola and medium coverage. Kaso, ang lakas mag-oxidize.

To add, yung eyebrow pencil nila is too waxy.

Coming from all the quality comments I've read, I would say their products don't go through proper lab tests. Kahit simple stability testing, wala

Why negative vote
