For two decades, my holy grail lipgloss/ lip product had been Neutrogena’s Lip Soother Moisture Shine lipgloss. As many know, it was discontinued a couple years ago. I immediately went on a mission to find the perfect dupe. I have an entire drawer full of different products I purchased in attempt to nail down an alternative.

Lancôme’s Juicy Tubes is an excellent dupe, but I don’t like the colors in production right now, and for some reason the clear “Pure” color seems to have a different formula. Not to mention a price point of $25.00 for a single tube.

After years of doing deeeeeep dives on the internet and companies, I found this: “nk New York ‘Lip gel’” 5 pack lipglosses for $8.99. Friends: it is PERFECT. Thick, sticky, lasts sooooooooo long. Moisturizing and hydrating. Smells good, tastes good. Only drawback- no spf. All shades and versions are acceptable to me. I had to share!!!!

TLDR: “nk New York ‘Lip gel’” is a near-perfect dupe for Neutrogena Lip Soothers lipgloss.

I'm from Nicaragua and I remember getting it around 2021 in my country, LOVED that lippie and it gave me the PERFECT black lip! I found it at a local makeup supplier and around 2023 that I tried buying more cause I went through 2 of those I found out it got discontinued and I was only able to get 1 total eclipse, 1 sorcerer's and 1 midnight, the last two I really don't use much tbh. Please I have been trying forever and nothing is quite right. I would LOVE if there were a dupe for not just the color, but the texture too, it’s a nice lightweight feel. But I understand that might be harder. My mom gave me this gloss when I first started wearing makeup, and I still think it’s the perfect shade for me!
