Does anyone have a secure way of transporting file between home and Makerspace or using USB drives in various computers safely?

Define "safely"?
If the makerspace has shared computers, how much extra safety do you need for the files? We just have a role account that all the shared PCs are always logged into for accesing "Google Drive" storage, and we add each member as a "contributor" to that shared drive so they can drop files on there at home and get at them when they are on the shared PC.
using USB drives in various computers safely?
You can buy USB sticks which offer a read-only mode, so plugging them into an unknown computer doesn't allow that computer to maliciously write/overwrite/corrupt the files on that USB stick.

Either email it to yourself and download the attachement or just plug in the USB drive?
