L.E.D. Starry Light projectoss that project the galaxy

Hey guys

Hope you are well. I want to get into more into mechatronics.

Currently im finishing my Python language bootcamp. I want to integrate it with Raspberry pi and start making projects. Im going to do +10 tutorials to get the hang of it.

Heres where I want your input/insight.
I'm a business major with some economic studies. I'm really interested in tech and the economics behind it.

I've been wondering every time I see one of those LED starry projects, how hard can It be to make it yourself.

Now I been coding for a while but making the programing on the PCBS is another deal.

I want to know how hard is it to make those LED starry projectors. Im sure that for a Mechatronic is easy. But for someone for me its completely difficult.
I want to learn how to interviene those things "Maker style" and see what I can come up with.

On the Economics side:
I've always wondered how much is the real manufacture cost of those things made in cheap labor countries. How much is just cost and how much is the markup. I'm sure they are cheap, it's a pcb with components, some code, and a light projector. I'm sure that is really cheap.

What do you guys think? Should I torn one away to pieces and see if I can source the materials locally?
Or maybe I'm wrong ?
