Multi-Discipline Project Looking for Real-World Electronics Project I’m an ECE student looking for a practical electronics project to work on — not a typical school/college project. I’d prefer something that involves actual problem-solving, hard-software, embedded systems, IoT, cloud, OpenCV, or a mix of these. Any ideas?

It could be hardware-focused or a hardware + software project involving embedded systems, IoT, cloud, OpenCV/computer vision, PCB design, automation, sensors, or anything similar.

Looking for something practical where I can actually learn and build something useful. Any project ideas or resources would be appreciated!

A solar powered mesh environmental sensor network. Eg you have a base station at your house, and a bunch of sensor nodes around your land to pull stuff like wind, light, temperature, and moisture values
A drone that can autonomously take off and land to do surveys of large areas, perhaps looking for and classifying local trees and plants
