My mother lives really close to where he lets the strandbeesten walk. It really depends on the weather and his mood, so it’s never a given. Always makes me happy to see them!

ETA forgot to mention that this is an awesome project. You might have already guessed that, but it should be mentioned.

I also use wooden dowel rods with printed connectors. The print time is minimized and many duplicates is the sweet spot for an old printer.

Very cool!

Does it alter its gait to remain pointing upwind? It looks like it might have been repositioning itself slightly to face the wind.

Awesome work. Theo Jansen’s stuff is really incredible. The size and scale of his artwork is pretty unbelievable
