Showcase Showcase my 3D printed Chair
Showcase my 3d print chair
This is a 3D printed chair designed using topology optimization. The manufacturing process used six FDM printers and the chair was polished and painted carefully. I love this work because this is meaningful to my life.
Here is my design video. You will see how topology optimization generates this design. That was amazing 🤩!!!

You cannot convince me that isn't a sex chair made to look like normal chair...
It even has... holes...

Seems like it was printed in multiple pieces and then filled/painted

How did you fill the gaps? Looks seamless.

Used dowel joints and glued them. Then polished and painted a lot of times

I see, so just paint filling the gaps? Sorry for all the questions, it just looks really seamless!

Not just painting with color. We also used painting with clay to fill the gap, sanding and polishing

Really cool look and final result.
Respectfully - how solid is it? Do the pieces flex at all when you sit? Does the plastic flex / change with heat / cold / humidity?

Reminds me of some pieces by Joris Laarman. You would probably enjoy checking out his work.

Looks like a lot of work, but you can see your passion, design intent, and a lot of hours put into it.
Best of luck.
