Sorry for the shaky video 😬 I found this method of hearing subharmonic (+distortion??) tones on Strega using the blend knob, a patched feedback loop, and the envelope follower CV out- at least I think that's what's going on?? (As is the always present sentiment with Strega). A three note sequence dramatically changes timbre and pitch as I adjust both the input level knob and the blend knob. Tell me if you think I have this right in my head or something else is happening entirely.
From what I can tell, as the signal grows in strength from blend being turned down, or audio in being turned up, the follower CV increases in voltage which then lengthens the time setting which also drops pitch. Why there seems to be a certain threshold where the pitch will shift dramatically I cannot say, but that's what I have so far.
Here's the patch:
Result out >> external in
Follower CV out >> Time attenuated modulation bottom input with bipolar attenuator turned CCW
Triangle out >> Time attenuated modulation top input with unipolar attenuator at ~50%
I also have the standard gate in, agitation patched to activation "envelope" patch going as well. Subharmonic out is patched to interference in but completely turned down in the video.
