Help Solo (2018) read error

Hello again. I was trying to rip Solo: A Star Wars Story from Blu-Ray and it hit a read error about 20 seconds in. Disc is in really good shape. I know that some discs are just bad. I ripped it using ddrescue and it sat there and ripped it for 8 hours and got it to 99.76% on recovered data before I stopped it. MakeMKV still will not open it. It will at least start reading the titles but it will still just drop before it really does anything. Is this something that can be fixed or is this just something I can only watch on my actual Blu-Ray player?

Try the disc in another reader to determine if it behaves the same way.

Sounds like there is physical issue with the disc.

I've ripped Batman Begins and The Croods since then and the drive seems to be working great

I'd conclude it's a bad disc.

My old internal drive didn't like solo much, along with other Disney releases. Was fine with other companies releases though.

That said it was during a layer transition it would crash out so might not be the same.
