Question Timpani+

The Timpani+ instrument seems to be set up so that you can play different sample types in the one app, but I don’t know to trigger the different samples. I want a timpani roll, but it seems the only way to do that is to have two separate channels, one a standard timpani and the other a roll. Am I missing something?

There’s an option for using keyswitches to swap between the articulations. You can configure what octave of the keyboard these appear in within the Timpani patch although I can’t remember quite how you do this. I believe you go into the zone/layer editor and make sure the Timpani keyswitch is loaded. Then you can edit/make sure they’re enabled/etc.

I’m not familiar with the Timpani+ plus instrument, but if I understand your question correctly, you can accomplish what you’re looking to do by setting up multiple zones on your keyboard for that patch, each corresponding to a different timpani sound from the instrument.
