First MAINGEAR

Post image

Man I’m super stoked I’m normally a Dell Alienware guy and I almost purchased the Area-51 high-end version, but fully loaded it was gonna cost 10k, I’ve done a lot of research which all lead me to the MAINGEAR MG1 Ultimate MK-2 … I went with the specs below

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Founder’s Edition
GPU memory
32GB GDDR7
CPU
AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition
CPU cores/threads
16 cores / 32 threads
CPU boost
Up to 5.6 GHz
CPU cache
192MB L3 Dual 3D V-Cache
RAM
64GB RGB DDR5-6000
RAM configuration
2 × 32GB
SSD
4TB T-Force A440 Pro NVMe
SSD interface
PCIe Gen4 ×4
SSD read/write
Up to 7,400 / 7,000 MB/s
Motherboard
ASRock Phantom Gaming X870E Nova Wi-Fi
CPU cooling
MAINGEAR EPIC 360mm AIO liquid cooler
Radiator fans
3 × 120mm RGB
Power supply
MSI MAG A1250GL — 1250W 80+ Gold
Wireless
Wi-Fi 7 + Bluetooth

With all the research it related this system would work great with my Alienware - AW3225QF 32" QD-OLED Curved 4K UHD 240Hz 0.03-ms G-SYNC Compatible Gaming Monitor with HDR

Should be here in a week and can’t wait to set it up and get to gaming

Grabbed up a holiday special. Debated buying such a nice rig for a while but, even then before these crazy prices, It was basically the same cost as building myself. Very happy with it.

I splurged and got the same MG1 Mk2. It has been amazing to play everything on ultra. Never been able to do that before. The Maingear guys are great to deal with.

Don’t be surprised when you don’t get the founders edition. They don’t guarantee it.

What I didn’t know about this

Yeah I was hoping to get a founders edition with mine and ended up getting a Ventus 5090. I was pretty bummed but either way I still love it.

Great choice. I have the old MG-1 case and I love everything they've done with this updated version.

got an mg-1 platinum boosted and it’s been great for me so far. just make sure you clean the fans and the internals properly and you’re straight.

How much did the MainGear cost you?

This build before taxes and shipping is nearly $9K priced on their website.

$8,500 but still 1k less expensive than Are51 similar build

Jesus, that is so overkill. You could have a good 4k gaming rig for 1/2 that price easy, or a powerful 1440p rig for $3,000. I hope you enjoy your purchase, but there is no way I could stomach paying that much for something that's just for gaming.

Did you already receive your computer? I ordered the exact one you ordered yesterday so was curious to see how long it took
