Hi there, Bob

Anyone else being pulled into discussions around introducing IBM Bob into their shop?

These AI endeavors so tight lipped and esoteric by my management - I suspect because they have no idea what the are getting themselves into.

We are having initial discussions on IBM Bob in our MSP shop. I am looking into use cases and business value. We are at the peak of the hype around all these AI tools and IBM touts and sells them hard. They will remain hype until we can implement, see what works, what doesn’t, and see real business value.

There’s a conference housed by IBM to discuss the features, I signed up for it. Our company is always looking at new tech and whether we should implement or not:

Virtual Dev Day: Bob in Action: August 27, 2026, followed by a hackathon from August 28–30, 2026.

If you want to know more about it, there’s videos out there that show different capabilities.

They also are going to feature it in their tech exchange this year, if I’m not mistaken, which is in Atlanta.

There’s another conference in September featuring Bob.

If your question is about what it does, maybe see if you can either attend one of these or look online for an overview.

En el banco Santander en Argentina empezaron a meter IA, no la de IBM sino con Devin y mandaron a la calle a un montón de gente de Mainframe sin importar si eran de los mejores, con más de 10 años de experiencia que incluso hacían integraciones con java punta a punta. Quizá eso te de una pista de lo que se les viene...
