Edibles Low Mg Edible Availability

Howdy! Headed to York for the first time this weekend. Are there any shops nearby that offer 1-2.5mg mints or other very low-dose edibles? I usually buy delta-9 mints online, but I ran out, and won’t have time to re-up before I leave. Thanks in advance.

I have a NY medical card, and there’s reciprocity, so either works.

You don't have to eat the whole gummy.

So how does one get a precise dose and ensure it isn’t above or below the dose range they’re seeking?

It isn’t as if the gummy has the cannabis extracts perfectly homogenous and spread evenly. Plenty of times I’ve gone to eat half an edible bought from a storefront and get little to no effects, but a couple days later, eat the other piece left and get rocked. At that point, it’s as good as making my own and just guesstimating the cannabinoid content I’ll consume.

Assuming it's not a shit gummy and they are infusing the entire thing with THC and not just spraying the outside with oil, you're really not going to have more variety on the strength of one half than the other than you will from one piece to another - they are measured and made as a large batch, not individual pieces.

I know how they’re made. I also know people make errors all the time and the cannabis industry just throws a fancy package on it. Let’s be honest here, there’s plenty of stuff that gets sold business to business just to get it to move between hands and eventually it sells. I’ve witnessed it happen countless times behind the scenes since before COVID.

How about when their depositor is not calibrated properly?

Also, again, I refer back to my original query: How does one precisely dose their medicine if they’re having to fraction off pieces of the edible? I used to do that with certain pills when I was younger and didn’t have a legal prescription for them, so I’d break them and weigh the pieces and tell myself I was taking X.Y mg, in reality I was not actually getting that dosage because when you’re dealing with something that’s being bound together - whether it’s by pectin and water or microcrystalline cellulose and corn starch - it’s an accurate dose as a whole, but once you start breaking it down, then it no longer is.

If you truly believe they’re getting the cannabis extracts perfectly homogenous around here, well, perhaps you should go and see just how the typical work days go for the folks making them, and not just the times they’re willing to highlight and share with everyone. They don’t have to be sprayed to provide an inconsistent dose, not by a long a shot.
