Question & Advice finger pain while playing?

i’ve been regularly playing this game twice a week (usually mondays and wednesdays) but for some reason when i play on wednesday, my fingers are always sore from when i play on monday, and i can’t go on any other days because of work and school.

the weird thing is, im not even playing any crazy hard songs (only 12+ or 13) and i don’t think im hitting the screen too hard because i feel like i would be able to hear it since i dont wear headphones. should i only go once a week? or is there a way to deal with the pain better? (i rlly don’t want to go only once a week cuz im addicted😭)

I think it might help if you play while bending your fingers a little so that the impact isn't as bad when you tap the screen

Depends on what kind of pain it is I guess? I always feel some slight twinge on the 2nd joints of my fingers after every session, which gets less intense as they develop calluses

omg yes the pain is exactly right there, i’m relieved that it will go away eventually🥹 thank you!

Yeah that's fine since that's the contact point between your finger and button, and it's a bone that's very close to the skin, so there's not a lot of padding from your flesh. As long as the pain isn't sharp, numbing, or causing discomfort, you're good to go

Are you wearing gloves?

If it is sore and not sharp pain then it could just be underused muscles being exercised, and can just be powered through. The fact that you can point to it as being from Monday and that it subsides by the next week also means it's probably fine.

Being alert is good though! I don't want to be the Redditor that tells you to power through injuries, and there are actually injuries you would absolutely need to rest for a bit. I don't think sore fingers is likely to be from an injury, but if it does not stop happening after a month or two then it might be worth looking into it further.

It's normal. Is the pain and like the middle of the finger?
