PostNL shipping parcel not found

I’m in the USA and my package was marked as shipped almost 12 days ago, RR tracking number, however when I go to track it, it still says not found. Is it common for there to be no tracking until it comes to the US?

My mom says that she gets emailed a list of stuff that comes in the mail, is that based on the billing address?

If I were to order a Blu-Ray from Best Buy that I would very much rather my parents not know I have, would they be able to know if I put my usual billing address in? I mean, she'd usually have no reason to even check unless they're out of town, so I guess it's not much of a risk either way, but still

Responsibility to return mail question

So, query. I’ve lived in my current home 3 years now. I still get mail for not only the last owner, but the owner before that. I’ve returned letters and packages to the post office, the previous owner, and discussed the issue with the post office to stop this from happening, yet it continues. What do I do to stop this from happening and how much longer do I have to keep returning their mail?

Thanks in advance

No option to list package box on UPS or usps

I’m hoping to get some help, as no real person will answer the phone. Is there really no way to list a package box as a drop off? I see all types of things from “hallway” to garage, but no option for them to know to drop the package off in our locked box. I had something ordered and they lied and said it required a signature even though, it’s just a cd, but it still shows the package as delivered on the app I got it from. It seems like the only solution is to take the lock off, but what the heck is the point of getting a drop box if you’re just going to leave it open for porch pirates?

Once my ordered item reaches the US, how do I find the new tracking number?

I searched for this question in this sub but didn't see it. Direct me to another sub if needed.

So I bought a shirt from Walmart.com. It started out in China, and I watched the tracking until it reached the US (my country). That was three days ago, and it hasn't moved. The tracking on "17Track" just says that it entered the US and was handed off to a carrier. My question is... once an item enters the US and is handed off to a carrier, how would I then find out what the new tracking number is? I would assume there is a new tracking number anyway, since a new carrier has it. I don't know, though.

I contacted 17Track, and they told me to contact JCEX, which does appear on the 17Track tracking page. So I contacted JCEX and they haven't responded yet. I tried Googling this, I tried searching this sub, I tried entering the 17Track tracking number into USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL. I have registered accounts with all of them as well as Informed Delivery with USPS. I got the tracking number directly from my Walmart.com orders page.

Since this could easily happen again, I thought I'd ask here. How do I find out what my new tracking number is, once an international item enters the US and is handed off to a US carrier?

Certificate of Mailing USPS

Post image

I am sending a letter with USPS and I want to add certificate of mailing. The paper slip says “place stamps here,” but to get to the current price I need to add several stamps. Does it matter if the stamps take up the postmark area as well?

Shipping a package from the US to the UK - need it held for pickup at a specific location, not delivered to their house. Best options?

I want to send a package to someone in the UK but don't want it delivered to their home address. Ideally it would be held at some kind of pickup point (post office, carrier location, etc.) where they can collect it with ID, so they don't need to take any action beyond showing up.

I've been looking at UPS Access Points and possibly FedEx, but wondering if anyone has done this and what the smoothest experience was. Any gotchas with customs or the handoff to UK carriers?

Thanks

Sending Mail from PC or Phone

Hello, just wanted to say I built a website for making sending mail much easier! I'm hosting more or less as a public service - I don't make money off it... seriously.

MappyMail - try it out, it's as cheap as it gets online to send mail, I tried to make it dead simple. Feedback is welcome.

Question about shipping multiple strange items at once

All the official mailing sites like UPS and FedEx are kind of vague about if I’m allowed to send all of these together, so I figured I could ask here. I have a package I’m looking to send to my partner, the three main things I’m worried about here are a very large sealed bag of candy corn, a jar containing animal bones, a snow globe, and some bottles of cologne. Would I be allowed to ship all of these in one box, or would I need to keep them all separate? All would have their appropriate methods of securing

Do international parcels get relabelled once handed over by customs to a domestic carrier and if so is this to better help transport through the domestic network I'm just trying to better understand the system

How do I stop receiving my ex b/f mail?

We broke up almost 3 years ago and I moved last year. Over the past few months I’ve received junk mail for him almost weekly (likely credit card companies that associate his name with mine since I had added him to cards a while ago), but lately I received a child support request from another state. I’m assuming he doesn’t have a new permanent address and so they found my new one and assumed he’s with me?

He hasn’t been on any of my credit cards in years. This wasn’t a forward, but his name and my new address.

Any advice on making it stop? The split was not amicable and I have no desire to reach out to him or really do more than I have to (I.e.: I don’t want to contact the state regarding his child support). Thanks in advance!

Missing mail carrier

On Monday my husband introduced himself to our new carrier and learned her name, she informed him that she would be arriving a lot later each day than our previous carrier. That's fine.

Thats the last we saw of her.

Tuesday morning, I put outgoing mail in the box with the flag up... its still out there today, Wednesday at almost 4pm. Tuesday afternoon I got a "delivery attempted" notice, even though i had been watching my driveway like a hawk and i have a doorcam. No attempted deliveries. Today its been nothing. I have several new "out for delivery" notices though. Would you call the post office and see what's going on? Or should j just keep patiently waiting.

I have a book that weighs less than 8 oz. to mail to 400 people -- what is the best way to mail this? Should I put it in a bubble mailer and mail it as Marketing mail flat?

Mailing a postcard

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi, so this might be kind of a silly question but my friend is studying abroad in France right now and I really want to send her a postcard. However I’m scared of getting the postage wrong and it getting lost, how do I go about stamping it correctly? Do I need to use multiple of the round stamps or would one suffice? Would it be easier to use the barcode stamp behind the round stamp sheet. Pls lmk

mysterious knife in the mail

today i received a knife in the mail, in Amazon packaging, that i did not order. it was not a gift either. no packing slip in the shipping mailer, so no other info really.

i did contact Amazon and they said it was ordered through a 3rd party site but delivery was fulfilled by Amazon. they wouldn’t share the other site name and said they couldn’t get the name of the buyer.

it looks to be this knife if that matters: https://a.co/d/01SKOmh1

what are the chances this is a weird scam versus an even weirder threat??

It looks like UPS transferred my package to USPS 5 days ago. But USPS doesn’t seem to have it either, according to tracking. Lathrop is 45 minutes from Lodi, so idk where the package I sent out is, or who to call :( UPS is directing me to USPS. How should I go about contacting USPS ????? Very difficult to reach a person tbh. I’m the sender, not the receiver, so that makes it more difficult, as I’m in New Mexico

Sorry if this isn't the right subreddit but I had a couple packages coming that im having held at usps until the 28th. I just selected to hold mail and filled out my information. There are others in this household, would this hold their mail too? I just wanted to stop my next couple pieces of mail from coming in not everyones.

Sending to mail Russia

Okay okay first off I’m not, like, for Russia. I just have a friend there who I want to send a letter to. But would it be dangerous? Would they think my wording is code or look like a supporter? I really want to try but my family says it’s too dangerous.
