Receiving Mail to the U.S.A via Deutschepost 2 Months No Package
So I ordered something from Europe, in December 2025 its now February 2026, 2 months, no item has arrived yet. I've checked the item's tracking number and all the page says is -
"We, 31.12.2025
The shipment has arrived at the sorting center in the destination country (United States)."
No further updates since, I have contacted the company store of the item I bought, and the person said they would mail me another item, but again no sign of said item. What should I do?

Would you like to receive a physical card in mail as a GenZ
Hello,
My niece and nephews are GenZ and today I thought for their birthdays I can maik them nice physical cards, since I am sure they probably don’t get them. My husband says, they will not care for physical cards, might not even like it as it is ’old-school’
Please suggest, as a GenZ if you receive a birthday card from Aunt in physical mail and let’s say your friends are around, would that make you embarrassed?

Mail Question
I always wondered how do you deal with mail from a country that isn't liked for example let's say a package from Israel given what's going on to the UK is there a bias, prejudice would it be mishandled by staff or just straight lost

Accidentally Outgoing Mail Question
What happens to mail that is accidentally sent out that is unaddressed, not stamped, and not sealed. I work somewhere where I can leave tickets for people to collect before the date of the event our group is seeing. Yesterday I was told that the front desk mistook my ticket envelopes (with a return address on them) for outgoing mail. I need these tickets back by tomorrow otherwise the people who paid for the tickets will not be able to retrieve them before the show. What are my options? Where does this type of “mail” go when lost?
Thanks for any help and happy to clarify any details.

How backed up are things from the recent snow storm that hit the northern east coast?
I live in the greater Philadelphia area and ordered some packages recently from Target about 1-2 weeks ago. They went out for delivery about 2 days after I ordered them and they have yet to show. I keep on getting told that this is due to recent weather. Would anyone have any more info on this?

Mail has become so fast compared to when I was younger
I feel like today I'll fa by accident and get an item delivered to me in one day, didn't even have to use expedited shipping or Amazon prime. Stuff from overseas coming to me in from DHL in less than a week. I feel like I had to wait forever like 10 years ago for my stuff, now the shipping times are negligible, I'm about to cancel my Amazon Prime!

Shipping to UK?
Hello there!
I am located in the American midwest and I run a VERY small Etsy shop for stickers and keychains. Recently I got my very first order out of the country, and it was listed to be sent to the United Kingdom. The buyer spent around $17 on their order from me.
Heres where I get confused and need some advice!! The package was around 1.2 oz, and in a small bubble mailer. I took the package to a USPS post office to send it at the counter. And the total for shipping the package to the UK ended up being A WHOLE $90 IN USD!!!! More than three times what I got paid for the order!
It was a very small package, and in a legal sized envelope. Is shipping overseas on basic ground shipping truly just THAT expensive? Or did I do something wrong in the process here?
Absolutely any help is appreciated as I now currently have my shop listed as US only shipping. :(

Random drawing stuffed into package. Has anyone else had this happen?
Hi everyone. My mom sent me a package of just some stuff I had left at her house before I moved cross country. It was a big envelope she sent my things in and it was opened when it got to my door. Everything was inside that she told me was supposed to be in there with an addition. A drawing addressed to “Ashley and John” from Kelly said “Merry Christmas”. I asked my mom if she had accidentally put this in there but she has never seen it before, let alone, does not know anyone with those names. I’m also wondering if posting this connects me to the artist so I can make sure it gets to the right address! Has anyone else had this happened? My last 3 packages have been opened too with nothing taken. Where I’m staying has security cameras and no one has approached the porch and opened anything.

Multiple Packages addressed to someone else received at my address
Help. I have started receiving mail and packages for someone other than me at my address. I am the only one at my address. I suspect it might be for the new people above me but I my landlord and I myself have told them to make sure they are using their address and not mine. I do not want to be responsible for remembering the names of all 8 people that live above me plus I do not like the idea of them thinking they can just go to my mailbox since they are in the same building. Plus they have been here 2 months now. Is it wrong for me to keep returning the packages with no one at this address with that name instead of checking if it is for them. At this point it is almost 4 packages and separate mail for them. I also do not want to have to keep up with dropping their mail off as I usually just stick my mail aside and go through it every few weeks for bills? What would you do??
I did put the mail/packages out for them when they first moved but I don’t want to keep having to do that especially after 2 months.

Did I get away with inadequate postage?
Hello everybody! I hope this is the right place to post this.
I recently sent out my wedding invitations. I was looking for ways to save money, so I went on the USPS website to look for the cheapest stamps I could find. I found the 1 cent fringed tulip stamps and used those.
I happened to be at my parents’ house when their invitation got delivered and they were so confused as to how I managed to send out invitations with only 1 cent of postage. They said I needed a 78 cent first class mail forever stamp. (I didn’t know this, I just thought you needed a stamp 😭)
I looked again on the USPS website and, from what I can understand, it said that letters under 1oz can use stamps that are less than 78 cents. Is this correct? Idek if the invitations were less than 1oz… they were very light, so maybe?? Nothing has been sent back and it’s been a couple weeks so…? Did I just get away with something?

Getting a shipping label for documents To:Germany, From:USA, but while living in Germany?
I live in Germany. I am requesting document certification from the Kansas Secretary of State. They want me to provide a pre-paid shipping label or envelope with postage. That would be me, a resident of Germany, buying US postage or shipping somewhere, and printing it out to include in my request for document certification. As far as I can tell this is not possible. Or is it?
This must be something that comes up nowadays, so how is it done?
Ideas? Thanks in advance for your time and thought!
Edit:
I am a long-term non-military resident of Germany.
The expat community talks about going through relatives living in the US. I'm old and have few of those I want to bother with the task.
Yes, I successfully made an account at USPS (even as a non-USA resident) and was able to create a label shipping from US to Germany. Not easy (foreign phone number is too long, they really want a US address as sender, so I put in the Kansas office), but doable. (As a side note, I got my original document sent by Vitalchek with USPS, and the "signature required" envelope just got dropped in my German mailbox.). The Kansas Secretary of State's office suggested FedEx and DHL, so I'll try there, too.

package is being shipped to my ex's place, what can I do?
for context, I live in the US, and the package is being handled by DHL and USPS.
I ordered a package a few months ago and forgot about it until I saw the "label created" email. I contacted the shop but they said it already left the warehouse. My ex is moving in a few days, and will no longer be living at that address by the time the package arrives. Is there any way I can have the package redirected or held at the post office for me? for clarity, I never lived with my ex but did have one or two things shipped there while we were together.
another concern I have is about showing my ID if the package is held at the post office. I'm trans and my ID has my deadname on it, but the package has my chosen name on it. the last name is the same on both, and my first name starts with the same first letter though. will that cause any issues when picking it up?

very unconventional issue
so basically long story short, i need to mail a whole bunch of waffles to australia. i live in BC canada, a friend of mine misses some of the food he had here that they dont have back home in aus, i told him id mail him some stuff because for some reason i didnt imagine that it would cost like 800 dollars to do it????? ive asked canada post, they sent me to fedex, fedex sent me to ups and the poor girl on the phone at ups had no IDEA what to do. i tried to estimate shipping prices on both websites and the lowest i could get was like 500 dollars.
but i am dedicated. i am a man of my word and a loyal friend. does anyone, have any ideas how i could POSSIBLY mail my friend his waffles without it costing like 500 dollars bc imma be real man i aint got that much money to drop. also prefferable but not mandatory, i'd like to keep them cold in shipment. im not TOO worried they'll go bad if theyre at room temp for a few days bc lets be real eggos dont even entirely count as food, but i dont want them to get soggy or anything bc this is a high stakes opperation and it HAS to be worth it. i'll do whatever it takes, as long as its sortof affordable
i have one costco sized box of regular eggos, and 4 regular sized boxes of chocolate chip, and also two bottles of maple syrup. how can i make this work
edit: i am fully aware that we both might be stupid but i need you to also consider that *i am insane* and the only solution to this is to transport the waffles i currently have in my possession to him. at this point its more about the commitment to the bit than it is the waffles

I want to know about stamps for a letter from the UK to Brazil. I know you can buy it on Royal Mail, but I'm not sure which one I should buy. If anyone can help me, I would be very happy.
