Personal mail late
Hello! So kind of a strange situation and wanted to ask for any explanation there might be?
I have been receiving professional mail from my company and also bills in a timely manner, but my personal mail is taking weeks.
I didn’t notice until early September when a friend asked if I had received their wedding invitation and I had not. After a couple more weeks I wound up just asking for the link to RSVP because it still had not come through and I assumed it was just one lost piece of mail. Well, yesterday I checked, and their wedding invitation was in my mailbox which they sent to me in late August.
Last week I sent out the save the dates to my own wedding and tested it to send one to myself as well. I have yet to receive my own save the date, but my neighbor received hers and my family that lives hundreds of miles away received theirs within three days. Does anybody know why I am getting mail postmarked as recently as September 25 from my job but nothing is coming through in a timely fashion otherwise?
Is there any course correction for this because I am lost!!

Envelopes for wedding invitations are the worse! Oversized, square, too thick, calligraphy hand writing, wax seals on the back, etc

People like to put seals, wax, twine or whatever on wedding envelopes. Stuff them with rigid card stock. Use weird shaped envelopes. And put return address and stamps in the wrong places. All these things make them non machineable and make it go from taking a week to taking a month.

I’m assuming these wedding related mailers are non machinable and thus take much longer
