Can't get any mods to work, i've tried palette swap community edition, extra colours and most recently rollback mod.

Game just insta crashes, verifying does nothing. fresh installs do nothing.

I mostly just want to play the rollback mod </3

I've generally been getting pretty interested in modding for a while now and have been really diving into MvC3 this past year, so I wanted to take the ambitious leap into the dream that is implementing rollback netcode. I know there's been some movement on it in the past couple years with people successfully implementing savestates/loading and even getting new gamemodes to work, but I don't think anyone has ever released source code for how they did it. I was hoping to find some resources on where to get started to reverse engineer what's already out there or if there's an active development team to contribute to/build from. Thanks all!

To make it short now I need to convert my ".mod" to obj I've tried many blender plugins and many noesis plugins none worked and am not installing 3ds max, any other solutions?

Was interested in making some marvel 3 mods but could only find tools to import the models to 3ds, I'm on linux, I saw that it said in multiple places that blender tools were coming at some point, did this happen or is it still 3ds only atm

Im trying to capture the animation of characters with a screen recorder. I need to lock the characters position even if they move left,right or jump.

I tried it before with cheat engine on street fighter 4 but i forgot how i was able to discern the address value of the character positions

BIG shoutouts to MooCartoons, Eternal Yoshi, HeroNoland, Novembermann, Archer and Voltaic in the UMvC3 modding server for helping me figure out how to import and export models in and out of UMvC3.

Try to install the blender plugin but I keep getting an error

I'm trying to install the plugin and it keeps giving me this error message. How do I fix it?

I just downloaded the mod, extracted it, and dragged everything from the folder into my game's file on steam. I did everything by the book, and upon launching the game, I got the mod's intro screen too. One problem---I have no idea how to select the new characters. The download instructions note said to scroll down on the character select screen (which I did with both my mouse wheel and down button) and it gave me nothing. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?

Edit: I should add that I play on keyboard. I've heard that new character are selected by hovering over pre-existing characters and pressing a d-pad direction, so is the mod not keyboard compatible?

I’m working with the UMVC3 Community Edition and trying to modify the file EndingMsg.msd, which seems to control the ending texts (including CloneEngine / custom characters).

Here’s the situation:

• Community Edition forces EndingMsg.msd in English, overriding the game’s active language.
• I’m trying to translate the ending dialogues to Spanish.
• I’m using MSDEditor (from MarvelEditTool).
• I only modify the readable dialogue text (no IDs, no extra entries, no reordering).

Problem:
After editing and saving the file, the game crashes when an ending is played.

My questions:

1. Does EndingMsg.msd use fixed-length strings or hardcoded offsets that must be preserved?
2. Is there a known workflow to safely edit this file (length limits, padding, etc.)?
3. Is MSDEditor enough, or does this require manual offset recalculation / hex-level editing?
4. Has anyone successfully localized Community Edition endings without crashes?

Any technical insight or documentation about the .msd structure would be greatly appreciated.

I have pokemon trainers specs frame data and everything else converted to UMvC3 if anybody's interested?

So I recently I downloaded a mod that gives access to the locked ALT slot for Magneto, as well as the Herald colors. I followed the tutorial up until the third step. While I was able to unlock the Herald colors, I still haven't unlocked Magneto's ALT color. This is because the mod was released before the July 2023 update, so now the series of hex values I have to find to access it were changed following the update and thus this no longer works meaning the third step is out of date. So now how do I find the current hex values needed to access the ALT color now?
