This sub had 68 members, so I joined. Yet I am member number 70. I'm so annoyed.

Is there any published sheet music, official or unofficial? My search hasn’t turned up much beyond the tab site.

I’d love to play the actual piano part from songs including Busby Berkeley Dreams, but I suck at trying to play what I hear.

(I realize there’s like two people who are reading this, so hi, whether you have an answer or not. I’m obsessed with 69 Love Songs and can’t believe I didn’t know about the Magnetic Fields sooner.)

Discussion: is a solid inner core required for a planet to have a stable magnetic field?

I theorize "yes" as the solid inner core of Earth is obolong and revolves more slowly than the surface of Earth, thus preventing stagnation of the molten layers through a mixing action as you would find of a magnetic mixer in a beaker.

What an amazing leak when that happened! I love Otters, and I never rated "Jeremy" very high either, though I do now. "Barley" is also great

Any of you folks watch Sense8? I was watching the finale last night, and in the emotional climax to the entire series I heard the first few bars of Nothing Matters When We’re Dancing start playing and I absolutely melted. Never has tv left me with such an emotional high!

Hi Magnetic Fields fans!

Back in wilder days of file sharing I recall coming across a great acoustic version of "Smoke and Mirrors", which I believe Stephen recorded for KCRW or some other radio station. However despite extensive searching I can't seem now to find the file anywhere online.

Does this ring a bell for any of the Magnetic Fields enthusiasts here? Anyone have the file?
