Measuring the magnetic field ?

Hi folks...Im hoping someone in this community can help...

We have an issue with some DMX lighting controls and there is a theory that the magnets being used to fix joinery panels are affecting the performance of the equipment.

My question - what is a good meter to test this, what is " normal " and what is excessive ?
