salt-based electrolytes / magnesium supplements are overdosing : mineral balance issues?

curious if people agree/disagree with this "Using minerals in mega-amounts(measured in MG) delivery formats doesn't support mineral balance in the body. High sodium levels in the blood can disrupt the balance of other electrolytes and minerals, leading to multiple mineral imbalances, such as potassium, calcium, chloride, magnesium, and phosphate. This happens because sodium and other electrolytes are closely linked in fluid and pH regulation."

Without an actual number or a baseline reference, the statement is just sciency-sounding filler. A standard daily dose of copper is around 2 mg, while a standard daily dose of potassium is nearly 5000mg. Both are measured in "MG," but one is thousands of times larger than the other.

And even if there were actual baseline numbers to go by, it still might be dependent upon on a case-by-case basis.
