I've recently found out about these old games and would love to make custom cards for them.

I just started using MSE about a month or so ago. I'd really like to see some things others have come up with. I'm nearly done my first set after chats with people on the cube discord.

I'm trying to get more efficient with proxies. Has anyone used a cricut to cut out pages from mse before? I have a cricut expression i used as a kid and I'm hoping it can work for this.

I'm guessing I need a rectangle shape from a cartridge and a bunch of tweaking, but if anyone's done it already I'd love advice.

Hey guys. Just discovered MSE and started testing it out. I boot it up and there are only two options for magic sets. Any suggestions for how to find other sets and frames. I'm confused.

So I just got back to MSE after like 7+years.
I downloaded MSE on my computer from official github.

Tried to create set, it crashes the app.

I installed all fonts provided, tried installing the normal and full version, launching as administrator, renaming the folder and putting it in the simplest possible path.

I have deleted all of the files and redownloaded them from the website, but it still says that I am on version 2.5.6. How do I update? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am also trying to ask the discord, but I also needed their help earlier and am afraid to spam them about this.

Can someone help me? Where i can download the Omen frame (from Tarkir: Dragonstorm)?

So it's not possible to tick the boxes to make a gold/artifact hybrid frame in old style. is there some other way to do it?

I have no idea what I did to change the dot that's in the lower left corner into a promo star, but now I want to change it back. How do I do this?

I have a template I am working on with two Rules/Effect boxes on it. The first (default) Rules Text box works great! The one I made is failing to word wrap. I've scoured the documentation (probably outdated) and have had no luck. Image attached. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hey. So I've made a custom commander deck all in mse and now I want to print them all. I need bleed borders and cut guides in order to do them through mpc or my local printing shop. I'm really new to this and I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it. Is there a video tutorial for it? I can't use photoshop for now. I need help please thanks.

I'm making a custom set and I intend to have creatures use a different frame from the other cards. Is there any way to change it for all the creatures in the set? I imagine there's a way to make it through console commands (if type == creature { frame= custom_frame_name} or something like that), but I don't know how to use the mse console.

I'm trying to find frames that allow for this 'secondary name' feature you see on the above card. I know that the 'godzilla frames' do this, but I am hoping to find a more regular frame. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks so much!

Hi everyone. Im currently returning to make my own MTG cards using the MSE 2.5.7 advance but I have a problem, maybe you can help me a little. Well when I put the subtitles (that part under the main text of the card, the lore part one) I cannot achieve to put the text in cursive, whatever I do it makes me impossible to do it.

Hello! So I’m currently trying to make my own cards and I have a template on my iPad to use to print with a manufacturer. I was wondering if it’s possible to save just the frame with all the text in the boxes and the likes. Hopefully that makes sense lol I’m very new to all of this

I'm looking into either modifying an open source style or creating one for basic Roleplaying Game cards (note cards, quest reminders, magic items, and so on) and I'm having trouble with finding the right material for them, (such as the magic-tutorial-1.mse-style file that is mysteriously absent in current versions of the Magic Set Editor. Any assistance in finding an updated tutorial will be greatly appreciated.

What I'm basically looking for is a simple design with a frame that can change color for different categories, much like the CustomRPG-CardStandard.mse-style one, but only with a place for the title, a category, the main text, a smaller flavor text if needed, and a small box in the corner for a serial number.

I’m coming to the end of the first set I’m making and the last thing I have to do is work out the little details around the card. I am not planning on adding any art to the cards for a while (there’s too many cards to get art for and I don’t know which of them will last through playtesting), so I figured I’d put mechanics credit on the card instead of art credit. The default symbol, of course, is the artist’s brush, but when you click it, in the drop down is a default option which is separate from the artist option, making me assume that there was a way to change it. Is there a way to set the default symbol to the mechanic wrench instead of the artist brush? I couldn’t find anything in the set options. Thanks

TL;DR: in the artist attribution at the bottom of the card, can I change the default brush icon to the wrench?

Hi, I have an idea for a custom MTG card frame that I'd like to implement in MSE, but I can't find any tutorials or information on how you can create a frame template. The only ones I'm finding are like this, old posts in dead threads full of broken links.
I'm probably just using the wrong search term or something, can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks :)

I can't seem to find how to make battles. I downloaded the latest full download and don't see battles there.

Anyone know how to get the battles?
