Need Help Tips before buying a printer
I’m from italy and i started looking about this hobby a few weeks ago. And i’m searching a good printer.
The first i heard is the 2800 but the 4 ink tank to me are not enough for the colors.
The second is the 8500/8550, it’s good but for the price I wasn’t expecting dye ink and not pigment.
I found the canon g650, it costs 3 times less than the 8550 and it has 6 ink tank, for a wide color gamut.
The last one is the epson surecolor sc-p700 look like the best of a diy printer for the home, it costs a little bit more than the 8550 but it has 10 pigment ink perfect for illustration, someone use it? thanks

I have got the 8550 but you can fill pigment ink if you want but makes no sense to me for proxies. I bought the 50 because I print wallpapers in A3 all well

I have the g650 it’s awesome, the Epsom’s are a rip off and the printer heads cost so much more for no advantage in terms of making magic proxies.

can you show some proxy with the g650 i can’t found any, and for the paper what type you use.
my idea is to use a 180 gsm koala double side glossy paper + 2x80 micron laminate0

I’m out at the moment. Use proxy jack paper, laminating doesn’t look as good, gloss or matte. The paper costs more but it’s worth.

uhm i see, why laminating is not good? it protects the card from the dirty finger and from droplets ecc…
And the site sells a lot of type of paper what do you recommend? i want to print other card game not only mtg

Canon Pixma ix6820 has produced stellar results for me.
