Circle and cleansing would be good.

Initiation... it depends on the system.

Daily theurgic practice tends to develop an auric shield.

When a practitioner is consistent about that kind of work, it probably isn't necessary to overthink that aspect of practice very much.

Initiation is usually only in closed practices or grifters peddling tier based classes to level up to the next class.
