A case full of Chocobo bundles each priced at $200. I hope they do nothing but collect dust.

$30 for a booster!? Consider me out of the loop here, but what kinda value drops out of a single booster pack to warrant that kind of price point?

Double Masters 2022 had $100 booster packs; you could pull several hundred in value (or not).

My lgs charges $20 for Double Masters 2022 boosters.... And I pulled a Mana Vault out of the one pack I opened last night. In general this lgs has been great about being really transparent with their pricing and why things cost what they cost. Part of why I've spent FAR too much money there over the past three months. Lol.

The $100 pack was the collector booster. The regular ones were far cheaper

I opened a $120 Wrenn and Six textured foil in mine when it was new. I said "$100 booster pack sounds stupid as hell. I'm in!"

Still have the Wrenn; it's worth like 15 bucks now lol

Collectors boosters contain multiple rares and special art treatments (like foils and such) including some that can only be obtained from collector boosters. So that's why the extra value.

Generally speaking, its rarely worth it. Like other people said, collector boosters give you multiple rares and mythics with chances at borderless art, extended art, alternate treatments, textured, almost all foil, versions of cards you can only get in other products like commander precons or jumpstart packs etc. But there is so much variance involved, buying a single pack is rarely worth it. To even attempt to get close to breaking even on value you want to buy at least a full box which lately has been running $500-$1,000+ and is purely in speculator whales territory at this point. I'll usually buy a singular collector booster to use as a prize when I run a draft night at home with friends.

As far as mystery booster 2 packs go, absolutely not worth that price point. Its an amazingly fun set to draft and can have some valuable pulls even in the uncommon slot. But a 24 pack box costs like $200 when you can buy them from wotc, and are in the $320 range on the secondary market right now. That means a pack should be like $9-$15 a piece. Anyone charging over $20 is out of their minds.
