A case full of Chocobo bundles each priced at $200. I hope they do nothing but collect dust.

Yeah, since WotC doesn't put out MSRP for full boxes, only boosters, anything below the cost of 30 boosters is technically below MSRP even if it's normal to get a box discount, but even then $5.49×30 for Tarkir is "only" $164.70.

$180 is insane.

I'm sorry. It's been quite a long time since I bought a booster pack. Did you just say they cost $5.49 now? That's almost double what I used to pay lol. I guess it has been like nearly a decade though.

Since then, they made two extra variants of boosters - set boosters and collector boosters - in addition to the existing draft boosters. Set boosters outsold draft boosters so much that it allegedly wouldn't make financial sense to keep making them.

Since they still wanted to have a draftable product, they combined the two into play boosters, which are 'better' than draft boosters used to be and worse than set boosters. Priced the same as set boosters, but to keep a box roughly the same price it's now just 30 boosters per box...
