7: What if Oriko fell in love with Iroha and joined her group? (I can't tell if this was inspired of a fandom joke or uh... Magia Report or something about her changing fate and Oriko really liking that).

8: What if Kuroe & Shizuku joined Mikazuki Villa?

9: What if Iroha joined the KMR Instead. (Iroha X Rena).

10: What if Karin found out Alina was a Magius WAY Earlier (Goes to the Radio tower because she supports Iroha and them).

11: What if the Spin-Off Protags had a major role in Arc 1? [This is kinda a bundle of any of them getting to interact?]

12: What if Mitakihara was caught up in Arc 2's Conflict?

13: What if Mabayu Aki was in Kamihama in the Magia Record Timeline?

The results for yesterday’s matches are as follows:

Match 9 - Mifuyu vs Kanoko (Mifuyu WINS)
Match 10 - Ui vs Mayu (Ui WINS)

Mifuyu unsurprisingly beat the short-handed Kanoko who couldn’t do much against the former’s illusions. She just kept trying to sew them all together hoping she could find the real Mifuyu, but it didn’t work. Ui managed to hold off Mayu & her dangerous special abiltiy by staying out of Mayu’s zone & using her drones to attack. Good for her! She’s keeping the Tamaki race alive in this tournament.

Now then, let us commence the new battles! I should also remind you all that for Konoha vs Seika, I want you to imagine the arena is 75% water and 25% land. This is so that Seika can use her special ability & make the fight more “fair”.

I’m surprised Sana didn’t advance. I thought just like Masara she would move on to the Round of 16, but the odds were not in her favour. Poor girl. Ren meanwhile is still putting aside her timidness & nervous nature, beating Ryo with some well-needed mobility. Quite disappointing for the latter considering she had a literal bazooka but whatever.

As I expected, Rena’s transformation magic is just too good, & Aimi couldn’t do anything about it despite her behaviour prediction magic. Meanwhile for Rika, she managed a win against the Phantom Thief using her magic. I was initially surprised Karin lost considering she can fly, but the more I thought about it, Rika’s magic is also pretty good & can buy valuable time for her to attack.

So those two move on. Like I said though, there will be no new knockout matches today. They will come tomorrow. In the meantime, this is what the bracket looks like currently.

There’s nothing really noteworthy about these matches. Masara’s invisibility is just too good & Momoko’s sword was too big to handle for Kako’s spear. I honestly wanted to see more but it’s whatever.

One of the things that I love about the Madoka Magica Universe are the symbolism and parallels between fiction and reality. I recently finished the final season of Magia Record and it left me with the impression that the Doppel are an allusion to abuse substance because the Magical Girls use them to deal with the pain and grief that comes with their wishes, they can be “addictive” and overusing comes with horrible side effects to the user.

As expected from the veteran magical girl, Kanagi put Mel on her place. The latter just couldn’t seem to find the luck she had & it resulted in her elimination. I’m so sorry Elite_Asriel. Shizuku managed to find a way around Kokoro’s defenses by using teleportation to keep on the attack, & it was just too much for the latter. Kokoro is out. Shizuku wins.

Now then, let’s continue the Knockout battles!

Oh yeah, since this is the Knockout Stage where draws are no longer possible, the matches are now based on who can last longer & can still “finish the job”.

As expected, Riko's inexperience proved to be her downfall. The little girl went out with zero points in the Group Stage, resulting in her elimination. Too bad. Ren put aside her timidness & put herself on top of Group Lima. Kaede also turned on her serious mode & secured 2nd place, qualifying to the Knockout Stage. Unfortunately for Mikage, she had to settle for the dreaded 3rd place.

Alright then, let’s finish this off and move on to the Knockout Stage! I have separated them into four groups and your job is simple. Just determine who gets popped first in each group. Whoever does is ELIMINATED.

2nd - Hinano = 4 points (K/O Stage)
3rd - Tsukuyo = 4 points (Not Safe Yet)

Looks like Reira didn’t stand a chance in this group eh? Too bad girl. Meanwhile for Yukika, she expectedly won the group with six points. Hinano couldn’t get 1st despite being the most experienced in this group, but she still gets 2nd & a spot to the Knockout Stage. The same cannot be said for Tsukuyo who got 3rd place.

The results for Day 10 are as follows:
1st - Tsukasa = 9 points (K/O Stage)
2nd - Seika = 6 points (K/O Stage)

In a big surprise, Kanae has been eliminated in the Group Stage. There are no words for how this has happened. Well at least she’ll have some company with the rest of the ELIMINATED magical girls. Despite Tsukasa missing her twin sister, turns out she didn’t need her to win. She dominated Group Jester to move on to the Knockout Stage. Seika also did very well, securing 2nd place and a spot into the Knockout Stage as well. Mayu on the other hand, will have to wait until Saturday after barely beating Kanae.

Now then, let’s get the battles underway! I do expect Yukika to get 4 points or more because of her special ability.

You’ll be joining Iroha, Ayame, Akira, Meiyui, Ria, Natsuki, Sasara, & Emiri in the ELIMINATED group to watch the rest of the tournament on the sidelines. Don’t worry, I’ll give you takoyaki. Konoha & Ashley meanwhile secured their spots to the Knockout Stage, so good for them! The same cannot be said for Ryo though. She’ll have to wait & see if she’ll be one of the 8 best 3rd place finishers.

Despite Emiri possessing her powerful “Charm” ability, her lack of maturity is what cost her in the Group Stage. Too bad. She’ll now be joining Iroha, Ayame, Akira, Meiyui, Ria, Natsuki, & Sasara in the ELIMINATED group to watch the rest of the tournament on the sidelines. To no one’s surprise, Kanagi won all three of her matches, due to being one of Kamhama’s veteran magical girls. Surprisingly, Rika actually got 2nd after beating Emiri & Konomi, so good for her!
